HTCO Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 ...Now, about The Crypt- how much do you really think they spent on theming? Most of it was recycled Haunt stuff, anyway. And, when they added the theming, The Crypt still had an eight flip cycle, and wasn't in as bad of a state as it is now... Its not the theming were talking about. The theming sucks anyway. I could by better theming for that ride at Party City. Were talking about the entrance, and the nickles they spent on re-doing the entrance and line queue. They had to redo the queue. If you look DB's footer is right where Crypt's old queue was. I agree with Cedar Pointer they redid the entrance when Crypt had it's old cycle. Now that it has a new less "destructive" cycle. Who knows? Maybe Crypt will be gone. Like I said, The had to re-do the line queue and entrance. What Indyguy and I are trying to say is, Kings Island would not spend all that money re-doing everything, only to demolish it the next year. In my eyes. Thats highly unlikely. Quote
CedarPointer Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 But, at that time, it still ran a good cycle and seemed like it would be at the park for a while. Now, not so much. At least the demon bat works now. Quote
Vortex Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I see Nick Universe gone from all of the old Paramount Parks next year. Quote
Coaster Kid Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 ^ me to I can see Cedar Fair changing them all into Camp Snoopy. Quote
kjkjkj Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I can definately see The Crypt leaving. They got a head start on removing it, by removing 3/4 of the concrete in the entrance plaza If the Crypt was to be removed, the park could add a new attraction to HAUNT and call it the Crypt. They could use all the theming from The Crypt ride, and the sign from The Crypt ride, and use it for a Crypt haunted attraction elsewhere in the park. Also, a small inexpensive flat could easily be put where The Crypt stands today. They could just take down the building, tear up all the concrete, and plant some grass all around a new flat. Quote
Tomkatt7 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 My kids don't even know who snoopy is!!!LOL They think it's the song Ohio State sings about!!! Quote

MarketingExpress Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I can't believe no one has mentioned it yet, but I see Lanuch Pad being removed so that they can put something in the back of Coney Mall to attract more people down in that area near Vortex and AT. I have never been a fan of that being installed in the park, and wouldn't miss it one bit. Quote

It would be nice if Launch pad was removed and they installed a Skyhawk. Quote

The Interpreter Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 That would depend on how many nickels the Snoopy people want for the dog rights. Quote
KI FANATIC 37 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 See unlike all of you I love SOB and I think that Kings Island will never tear it down I actually like it just as Mick as DB Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 See unlike all of you I love SOB and I think that Kings Island will never tear it down I actually like it just as Mick as DB Yet again, another unfair generalization. ALL of us don't agree on much of anything. not ALL of us dislike Son of Beast, nor do ALL us hate it. Sigh. Quote
Diamondback96 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 See unlike all of you I love SOB and I think that Kings Island will never tear it down I actually like it just as Mick as DB I'm indifferent about SOB. Last time I rode it it was awesome (in my opinion), but it was in 2006 with the loop. So I can't really say much about SOB now. And CF may tear SOB down eventually. Depends on the results of the inspection. Quote
