kiruler102
i thought that was just to symbolize that target was at the park today. Thats what i was told.
BoddaH1994
The top platform is 264', right? That would make the target relatively accurate....

dragsterfan420
^Lol. Where is Nik Wallenda going to walk to? To do a tight rope walk there needs to be two structures to hold up the line, correct?
DropZone99
Wow, that sure is high. Where does it end at?
Beast1979
From the front entrance gate to the Eiffel Tower....the front entrance gate isn't 200 feet high, is it? Or am I missing something here....
Diamondback FOF
The front gate isn't 200+ feet high, so you're not missing something. I think that will be one very large downhill walk.

Or am I missing something here.... There will be a crane at the front entrance that will suspend the wire 262' in the air. So he will be walking from the front gate to the Eiffel Tower, but the wire will be attached to a crane near the front gate and to the Eiffel Tower's structure. Diamondback FOF
Ok. I've been wondering about that for weeks now. That is going to be a huge crane. Maybe bigger than Clifford because this will have to reach 260 feet up? I'm not sure how tall Clifford was.

goofywdw
I was nervous to watch as well but I saw a video of him during his Kings Dominion walk and he looked pretty good. I have faith in him and am definitely going into the park after work to watch!
TTD-120-420
This would be sweet to watch. To bad I'll be at Busch Gardens. After he walks; the crane will be used to start construction for the new Wooden Giga coaster for next year. Zach, who loves being sarcastic. There was a date conflict between KI's site and Cedar Fair's site for the Wallenda Walk and I must have copied it from the wrong one. I'll edit the main caption. mtl2013
I will totally be there tomorrow to watch Mr. Wallenda do this death defying walk...hahah. I saw the crane with the wire attached today as i drove by the park, and it looks amazing. Its weird because i knew it was 262 feet, and i knew how high that was compared to drop zone and the Eiffel Tower, but until i saw the crane, it didnt seem as high. I would be freakinout just standing on the crane's platform..haha . But I wish him luck and hope he does a great job. This will be a great show. I hope he does ok but if we falls there is no net to catch him (i think) but he does have the Royal Fountian. I don't think 3 feet of water will save him from a fall of 262 feet... Also, is the crane over 260 feet tall, I guess? Or will he be walking down a slight drop? I hope to go, but I doubt my mom will take me. BoddaH1994
Aside from landing on the mother of all air mattresses, if Wallenda falls 262', it'll be the end of Wallenda. Hope to see you guys there tomorrow!
