FOFirehawkFAN
Honestly the one thing I would LOVE to see happen is a re-theming of 1/2 of Action Zone. IF sob gets taken down eventually I think a really nice expansion down that way would be awesome. Open up the area more so the q-line to Flight Deck is not a hike and maybe add a flat or 2 to that area. And of course my dream would always be to re-theme FD and maybe replace the trains with inverted trains (it has been done before). Actual inverted (rigidly connected to the track, see Invertigo), or floorless suspended (like the ones wee have now, just floorless and from Vekoma)? The latter was done at Chessington World of Adventures on Vampire. Not sure if it has been done on anything else. Yes that is what I was referring too, I apologize for the wrong terminology I tried to think for a minute before I submitted that post but I still got it wrong lol. Theres a pic if anyone else is curious what it looks like.
najellin
I like the idea of a Ferris Wheel in Coney Mall, but I've never ridden a Screamin' Swing ride. What's it like? Is it like the "SWAT" rides they have at various parks in the US (SF New England has one)? I knew that they were going to do something with all that space on the other side of the walkway from Vortex. I think they should put that Swings ride at X Base and keep the Ferris Wheel in Coney Mall, then put up either an enterprise or Inverter Ship next to the Ferris Wheel (or even skip the ferris wheel and put in a double or triple wheel). KI Kevin
Why get a Ferris Wheel if we already have one in a box? How did I know that was coming?
KI Kevin
A good example of a Screamin' Swing is Skyhawk at Cedar Point. It's actually two swings each with 10 people on each side, and is just basically what it sounds like: a giant swing.
The Interpreter
...with what seem to be incredibly minimalist restraints while the swing goes far higher than you did in grade school....
RailRider
^ The S&S restraints are amazing on Screaming Swings, I also found them to be great on Powder keg. Like you said Terpy very minimalist and they offer so much freedom. For 2010 the seasson after Diamondback and with the impending fate of SoB, I look for a new dinning experience and a show or two. Some general park improvements and not much else.

Diamondback FOF
We are getting nothing of significance next year! If you want something new, you will have to go to KD or Carowinds..... Or, if you believe rumors, CP! Don't forget about Canada's Wonderland.
najellin
Weird, I remember having dreams of giant swings when I was just a kiddie. In the dream, I would go maybe 100 feet up in the air. Did anyone ever have one of these dreams? Now I get to live that dream out.

Chris!
Canada's Wonderland just announced that Hanna-Barbera Land as well as Nickelodeon Central are being replaced with Planet Snoopy. 3 new rides are coming as well as a Snoopy on ice show. http://www.canadaswonderland.com/events/ev...42&ec_id=
Dvo
A sign of things to come, in my mind. The only question is when.
gigacoaster2k
We are getting a Ferris Wheel and Screamin' Swing in Coney Mall. Haven't you guys seen the concept art? ANGIE LIKEY!

I've been saying for a long time that Kings Island needs a Ferris Wheel (Not in a box), but somehow I doubt we'll ever be getting one Never been on a Sky Swing though, so I can't comment on whether or not I'd like one of them. flightoffear1996
Sky Swings are very fun even though Sky Hawk is on the short side.

gigacoaster2k
As short of a ride as Skyhawk is, swinging upward 125 feet at 60 mph really pulls at your gut. I like the ride.. in fact, I just rode it yesterday
FOFirehawkFAN
I wanna see X-Base turn into its own area. Maybe X-Base will finally get its own bathroom!!!!!!

Diamondback FOF
That is for Canada's Wonderland, not us . But, I'm sure we will get Snoopy too. It says Hanna-Barbera land. Why does CW still have HB, but we don't? Also, I don't think we'll see three new rides.
Tomkatt7
Losing Nick U will be very disappointing for me. My kid really loves the area, watches Nick at home, and can identify with all the characters. She has no idea about Snoopy, or Peanuts. I think it will be a big "downer" for the park. I know though, that it's all about the money. Mr Kinzel hasn't collected enough of our nickels to justify spending any of his own, to keep the licensing. Vortex
If Kings Island does this redo alot of the art is already payed for saving alot of money. I have pictures of Cedar Point's Planet Snoopy if anyone wants to see them.
CincyMan98
I think someone might have said this already, but how many different names possible could they come out with Peanuts characters? 18 rides. That's crazy.
KIBOB
/End Thread. It looks as though the cedarfairization and deparamountization process at Canada's Wonderland will complete after next year. Now i can really see the Peanuts coming to KI. I wonder if CF went ahead and extended it to all the other former paramount parks?
Oldschool75
I may not know much about international copyright laws, but just because a company can get a license to use something in one country does not mean it has the same rights in another country. Terpy I'm sure would know more about this.
PREMiERdrum
I may not know much about international copyright laws, but just because a company can get a license to use something in one country does not mean it has the same rights in another country. Terpy I'm sure would know more about this. Cedar Fair will have to secure a license to use the characters in each park, regardless of which country they're in. That said, I would anticipate that having 5 parks you're looking to obtain a license agreement for would be a good bargaining tool on the side of Cedar Fair. coaster_junky
i would love to have a screamin' swing at Kings Island, expecially if they had it where it had it's full swing over a major attraction, just to add to the already amazing experience they already provide.
