When riding Invertigo...

Do you prefer to go backwards up the first lifthill and doing the first trip in forwards? Or do you like going forward up the first lifthill and doing the first trip backwards?

I like going up forward up the first lift hill because I can't stand being pressed against my restraint for the long going up the first lifthill. I can paranoid in a really bad way when pressed against my restraint like that. Going up the second lifthill backwards isn't that bad because the train is up there in no time and is stopped for just a split second.

I just don't ride Invertigo. It always has too long of a line.

When I do take a rare ride on it, I prefer to face forwards (riding backwards first) going up the lift, especially in the end seat. For some reason I'm fascinated by watching the cable mechanism and watching it release.

Just got back from Cedar Point Wicked Twister doesnt tell as much depending on the restraint system as Invertago. Its the same for me either way doesn't bother me one bit.

I like to go forward up the first lift. When i go backwards i face the ground and the restraints are a bit uncomfortable for me. I normally don't ride Invertigo though because while i'm on the ride my eyes roll back into my head and i look like i'm having a seizure! does anyone else have this trippy problem?

I've ridden it maybe four times. Three times facing the ground first and one time facing skyward first. Every single time I rode facing the ground, I blacked out once I start on the return trip backwards. My friends have told me that I look really creepy with my eyes rolling back and stuff! The one time I didn't do that was at night and when I was facing backwards first. I think it was for those two reasons (no sun out and doing the more intense part (backwards) first) that really kept me from blacking out that one time. I haven't gone on it since `07, because I had a horrible headache afterwards and my friend that I rode with got sick and threw up after the ride. If I ever go on it again, I'm only going backwards first or I won't go on it, because my body's trying to tell me that it's not good for me to get on that thing. Face/Off is probably the most intense ride I've been on at Kings Island, hands down.

I love Invertigo. We always ride the front/back :P

Actually, we always ride the main front first. I like the feeling of pressure against the restraints. The entire time you are hoping you have been strapped in good lol.

But, it's a "i'll-ride-this-once-a-day-and-that-is-it" ride. The same goes for Firehawk. Last time I was on Firehawk, I had a headache that lasted several days later. Rides that cause a lot of pressure in my head just don't agree with me. Like I said, I can ride once a day or once a visit, but that's it. Any more than that, and I very well may be tempting the emesis gods

First i love your pic haunt_mistress09

i also dont like the leaning on the restraint so i only sit in the facing the sky on the way up seats. And now after seeing another Invertigo get stuck for a couple hours i will continue to only get that seat because i would hate to be stuck facing down  makes my heart beat faster just thinking about it.

a. It was not a couple of hours, it was nearly five.

b. And how do you know exactly where the ride will get stuck, if it does? You could just as easily end up facing down as opposed to up, in the highly unlikely event the ride gets stuck at all.....There is, after all, a lift hill on each end....

In as little as 20 minutes, those particular seats, with their angled bottoms, can get very uncomfortable. I know this from personal experience.

In addition, during a five hour stay in a coaster seat, it is more than likely that at least a few guests will need to dispose of bodily fluids...and worse. You could be facing off with one or more of them.

Terpy, just sayin'

As stated in the thread discussing that incident, it occurred in California at Great America. In California and New Jersey, especially, there are very strict rules about how evacuations must be conducted...rules that are very different than those in effect in, say, Ohio. A similar incident in Ohio might have a much faster evacuation...or not, depending on the circumstances.
