screamingnight
Do you prefer to go backwards up the first lifthill and doing the first trip in forwards? Or do you like going forward up the first lifthill and doing the first trip backwards? I like going up forward up the first lift hill because I can't stand being pressed against my restraint for the long going up the first lifthill. I can paranoid in a really bad way when pressed against my restraint like that. Going up the second lifthill backwards isn't that bad because the train is up there in no time and is stopped for just a split second. DropZone99
I like going up backwards so I am looking down. It makes the ride more fun in my opinion.
violakat03
I just don't ride Invertigo. It always has too long of a line. When I do take a rare ride on it, I prefer to face forwards (riding backwards first) going up the lift, especially in the end seat. For some reason I'm fascinated by watching the cable mechanism and watching it release.
Mr. Coastermania
forwards.Much better to me.I know what you mean.
rotag
I hate the feeling of leanin on the restraint system. I always get the fealin that the restraint will pop open under my weight. So less of that fealing the better.
KI FANATIC 37
I agree with that, I like going backwards 1st! Then foreword 2nd. I just don't like how you depend on the restraint

The Interpreter
I prefer the Front/Back, but the Front/Back is also okay. Are you suffering from Invertigo? If only I could fit terp. If only I could fit. Is it a weight problem or a height problem? If the former, it can be conquered! Others here have....
rotag
My personal photo tells all. Believe it our not I have been on a diet the past three years & I am only maintainin. But I refuse to let it get me down.

mtl2013
I dont ride it that much, but when i do, I usually ride up the first hill backwards...so im facing down. I like the feeling of kinda like falling out. haha

najellin
I've ridden it maybe four times. Three times facing the ground first and one time facing skyward first. Every single time I rode facing the ground, I blacked out once I start on the return trip backwards. My friends have told me that I look really creepy with my eyes rolling back and stuff! The one time I didn't do that was at night and when I was facing backwards first. I think it was for those two reasons (no sun out and doing the more intense part (backwards) first) that really kept me from blacking out that one time. I haven't gone on it since `07, because I had a horrible headache afterwards and my friend that I rode with got sick and threw up after the ride. If I ever go on it again, I'm only going backwards first or I won't go on it, because my body's trying to tell me that it's not good for me to get on that thing. Face/Off is probably the most intense ride I've been on at Kings Island, hands down.
Dvo
I like sitting in the very "front" seat, so you get pulled up backward first and you're looking straight at the ground. Great view
pcc
I love Invertigo. We always ride the front/back Actually, we always ride the main front first. I like the feeling of pressure against the restraints. The entire time you are hoping you have been strapped in good lol. But, it's a "i'll-ride-this-once-a-day-and-that-is-it" ride. The same goes for Firehawk. Last time I was on Firehawk, I had a headache that lasted several days later. Rides that cause a lot of pressure in my head just don't agree with me. Like I said, I can ride once a day or once a visit, but that's it. Any more than that, and I very well may be tempting the emesis gods
Cortney
I don't like riding it. I felt like I was going to fall out the last time I rode it.

First i love your pic haunt_mistress09 i also dont like the leaning on the restraint so i only sit in the facing the sky on the way up seats. And now after seeing another Invertigo get stuck for a couple hours i will continue to only get that seat because i would hate to be stuck facing down makes my heart beat faster just thinking about it. iChase
I rarely ride Invertigo as it has too long of a line. But when I do, I usually prefer to face the ground on the first lift hill. It make it more of a scary experience.

It was not a couple of hours, it was nearly five. b. And how do you know exactly where the ride will get stuck, if it does? You could just as easily end up facing down as opposed to up, in the highly unlikely event the ride gets stuck at all.....There is, after all, a lift hill on each end.... CincyMan98
Umm do those facts really matter? Well I guess the second one does; it doesn't matter what seat you're in, you could be stuck anywhere. Facing up, facing down, it could happen.
The Interpreter
Oh, so you don't think it matters much whether you are stuck on a ride for two hours or nearly five? I bet if you were on the ride, your opinion would change really fast...
CincyMan98
Well I don't care so much, it wouldn't freak me out. I mean, what would happen up there? You could starve - but if you're stuck up there for 1 week! I just would be afraid of the height but I would never have a panic attack. The Interpreter
In as little as 20 minutes, those particular seats, with their angled bottoms, can get very uncomfortable. I know this from personal experience. In addition, during a five hour stay in a coaster seat, it is more than likely that at least a few guests will need to dispose of bodily fluids...and worse. You could be facing off with one or more of them. Terpy, just sayin'
CincyMan98
Now I know what you're saying. But what I don't get is why does it take so long for firefighters to get them off the ride? I mean, 5 hours?
The Interpreter
As stated in the thread discussing that incident, it occurred in California at Great America. In California and New Jersey, especially, there are very strict rules about how evacuations must be conducted...rules that are very different than those in effect in, say, Ohio. A similar incident in Ohio might have a much faster evacuation...or not, depending on the circumstances.
