Guest rcfreak339
Sources are telling Screamscape that Kings Isalnd may get a "Starlight Experience" in 2010. I would love to see it, I really did like it when I went up to Cedar Point. But where would it go? I can't find anywhere that it could go at Kings Isnald. raptor
I saw that on Screamscape this morning, I've haven't made it to CP yet this year, so the jury is still out for me if I like what they've done
The Interpreter
And even if visit CP this year, you won't experience it. It's over for the season. Boo! So to speak.
Dvo
I could easily see something like that going in the paths between coney mall and rivertown, or even in Oktoberfest. I think it's a great idea. Starlite at CP was really neat. But then again, I'll never give any sort of credibility to Screamscape.
TombRaiderFTW
Maybe the Trail of Terror path? That could be really pretty during the year, back in the woods with lights everywhere... and the ToT theming removed, too, of course. I can't imagine the peaceful effect of the Starlight Experience lingering after guests are showered upon by that squirting toilet.
kjkjkj
Most of the Trail of Terror theming stays there all year. I am sure if they tried to remove some of the items, they would completely fall apart lol. Not to mention, there are props EVERYWHERE back there. Jason B
I am not sure where they could pull it off on the scale it is at CP, but it would be a great use of the International Gardens on a smaller scale.

This. Tower Gardens was my first thought when I read that on Screamscape. I also doubt that we'll see the "same" show as CP, but the same technology. CedarPointer
I just hope it doesn't look at tacky during the day. The extension cords at CP looked horrid...
AgentSoB
I thought the Starlight Experience was very well done and CP, and would be thrilled for it to debut at KI.

Jason B
CAn anyone upload any pics? I have some on my Facebook and I will upload them on here when I get home. They are not the best becuase they are taken with a point-in-shoot and it is night when they do it.
PREMiERdrum
I just hope it doesn't look at tacky during the day. The extension cords at CP looked horrid... I'm thinking that they learned a thing or two about installation (and popularity - which as I understand it at CP, SE was immensley popular). Also, if it were to go into Tower Gardens, I could see a cleaner installation, blanketing the trees and scenery, with a lights-set-to-music kind of show. Beast1979
Sounds like a fantastic idea. I loved Starlight Experience at Cedar Point, it's underestimated and strikingly beautiful. I can see this being added at Kings Island, it would be a good addition for the park during an off year and a nice couple with Snoopy's arrival. As for the location, I think the area between Delirium's entrance and Coney Mall (What do they call that place nowadays....Oktoberfest?) would be perfect, or better yet, the old Gardens near the Tower. kjkjkj
I think a starlight experience would be a great addition to Kings Island. If they put it into "Tower Gardens" then it would bring in some atmosphere and people into an area that is now almost always completely empty. I haven't been to Cedar Point's Starlight Experience, but I did watch a few videos of it, and it does look very nice.
CedarPointer
The only issue that I had with CP's was that the LED lights give me a headache. But, that's just me. I thought it was really nice and I would really like to see it come to KI.

maverick2007
Is the "Tower Gardens" the same as the former "Paramount Story"? If it is I think it would look great in that area.

bkroz
Yes. The only official name they ever had was "The Paramount Story," and since "The Story" isn't a good name for gardens, they're often called the Tower Gardens. Haha. (:
The Interpreter
If you say so. Terpy, who remembers well the area was called Tower Gardens during the Taft era...and who cannot imagine why or how Taft knew to call that area The Paramount Story years before Paramount even bought the park...
