BoddaH1994
The time has come for the our favorite summer getaway to be transformed into a hellish haven for ghosts, demons, werewolves, zombies, corrupt cowboys and evil clowns. That's right - Halloween Haunt, Kings Island's incredibly popular Halloween-inspired event is back with a vengeance! Highlighting the event is three all new attractions including: The Slaughter House - Set inside a butcher shop, you never know what (or who) may make it to the cutting board next! Have slaughtered animal parts, hanging carcasses and gallons of blood adorn this culinary outlet. Many enter the Slaughter House but few make it out to tell the tale. Cut Throat Cove - Climb aboard a pirate ship filled whose captain's last fear is mutiny. This ship is full of deranged pirates, swashbucklers and all other delights found on the seven seas. Anyone up for a duel? Hot Blooded - This live stage show inherits the new-found legacy of over-the-top Halloween shows found at Kings Island and does not disappoint! A classic rock sound track, incredible special effects, pyrotechnics and plenty of blood populate this after-life revue. This is the "do not miss" attraction of Haunt 2009! In addition to the new attractions, some of your favorites are back including Club Blood, Death Row, Cemetery Drive and many many more! Jasper
Great video, this year looks to be the best year ever for Halloween Haunt. How fitting because this IMO has been the best season for Kings Island. Thanks for the update KIC!!
KI-Datro
IMO this Halloween Haunt was pretty lame... I went last night and everything seemed dulled down. Maybe it was because it was the first day, idk. I think last years was MUCH better.
flightoffear1996
^ I was thinking the same thing.
Jamesv7
Last night at haunt I had a great time. It seemed like all the haunts I went threw where shorthanded and I did not see that many roamers. I was able to go threw Slaughterhouse, Club blood, Cut throat cove, Cemetery Drive, Massacre Manor, Carnevil and watch part of Hot blooded. The only thing I liked about Hot blooded was the water effect. Carnevil was great as always good timing and good acting. Massacre Manor was bad not allot of actors and there was no timing. I hope this will change because this one is usually my favorite. Cemetery Drive is a lot better this year the actors are doing a lot of teaming up on guest + my daughter is working in it. Cut throat cove has a good theme but all you pirates on hear the timing was off and know one looked like they where having fun. I hope it will get better. Club Blood was my favorite of the night. I have not gone threw this one since the first year it was open and now it is allot more active. Good job Club Blood. Slaughterhouse is a great addition good setup. My only complaint is the first haft is to dark you can't see anything. The actors where great I can't wait to go threw again. I had a great time and I now it will get better. KI-Datro
Something I really got angry about was Slaughter House. It got fake blood all over my new white hoodie! It wasn't scary, no live animals, and it smelled terrible.
Diamondback FOF
When I go to Haunt, I try to wear dark clothes and my 'nice' stuff incase it gets stuff on it and it doesn't come out. Just a tip for future reference.
markr
Was there last nite and slipped and fell on the DB platform which was slippery from the rain and hurt my hand. Special kudos to the DB crew, especially Jenny, in getting the first aid people over to take care of my hand.
Diamondback FOF
I'm sorry to hear that. Is you hand okay?
The Interpreter
And given that markr knows that station like the back of his hand, the park may well want to look into what is causing that area to be slippery and what can be done about it.... Terpy, just sayin'
markr
I think its a sprain-it feels real sore today. Ice seems to help. Just taking it easy today. Actually, I was careless because I slipped and fell running to the train from SRL trying to make an empty seat-I slipped on the number which is very slippery when it gets rest. Lesson everyone: Do not run in the station.
The Interpreter
On the other hand, if only the painted numbers get that slippery, perhaps the park needs to relook the type of paint used. I doubt you are the first to fall on the wet number, but perhaps these type incidents could be greatly reduced with a little non-slip paint... DropZone99
Haunt was good, but I think that last years was way better. It seems like every year it just gets less good. Still fun, but last night was my least favorite visit of the year.
TH13TEEN
I was excited for Haunt, but as usual I got let down.
clbehymer
I had a great time last night. It was one of my better trips to haunt. I made it through all of them and was still able to get 5 rides in. My ratings for the Haunts: 1. Trail of Terror - very good, a lot better than last year. 2. CornStalkers - this was my least favorite last year and the actors did a great job of scareing the crap out of me 3. CarnEvil - great visual effects, I never see the polka-dot guys coming (I hate clowns, so this may have increased the scare factor for me) 4. Tombstone Terror-Tory - the actors on this got my friends a lot... very funny for me to watch from the back 5. Club Blood - didn't get a lot of scares but the actors were quite amusing 6. Slaughterhouse - this was the first one that we went through and it wasn't dark at the time, it may be better when it's darker 7. Cemetery Drive - first time that I had been impressed with this haunt 8. Massacre Manor - not as good as previous years, but still good 9. Cut Throat Cove - decent scares, but I was more amused with my friend getting startled than anything 10. Urgent Scare - I was in the middle of an extremely large group (maybe 11) and didn't get to enjoy it at all. Last year the same thing happened to me and I was dissapointed again this year by that situation 11. Death Row - I was basically annoyed by the mirrors and strobes by the end of it, but the actors still did well I didn't get a chance to see the shows, and I am probably not going to be able to go again this year because of my own Haunt, but I was able to hear some of the music played and it sounded pretty good. Is anyone on this site The Bat looking guy with the platforms on?... he got me as I was leaving.

As an actress in the house you NEVER wear anything WHITE/NEW to haunted houses for the chance you accidentally BUMP into one of us... and our make up gets on you

Urgent Scare - I was in the middle of an extremely large group (maybe 11) and didn't get to enjoy it at all. Last year the same thing happened to me and I was dissapointed again this year by that situation Then maybe you shouldn't do the same thing every year lol just sayin Is anyone on this site The Bat looking guy with the platforms on?... he got me as I was leaving. depends on which bat guy. the vampire one with the red leather jacket is but not the grey gargoyle one (at least i dont think so)

I doubt you are the first to fall on the wet number, but perhaps these type incidents could be greatly reduced with a little non-slip paint... I've slipped and fell outside a gas station (no, NOT the one I work at! ) while walking down the painted ramp while it was pouring down rain. I've also slipped and ALMOST fallen on the painted wooden walkway at Holiday World right before you get to Voyage, and it was pouring rain (I was running.. can you blame me? ). But both times, I was wearing flip flops. So I doubt this situation is one that rests only with Kings Island.

I was only with a group of three. The person at the entrance is the one that put us all together. I'm certain that I would enjoy it more with a smaller group. It was the grey gargoyle one. I don't know that I saw the one with the red jacket.
Tomkatt7
So, if I go to Haunt, and decide to ride a few coasters, how many haunts can I realisticlly expect to get through? I will have to ride Racer, Beast, and Diamondback while I'm there. How many Haunts are there to go through. I want to go on a night that they are open until 1. Slaughterhouse - this was the first one that we went through and it wasn't dark at the time, it may be better when it's darker I completely missed you the other night. I was looking for you (and all the other KICers that said they would be there). And it is better when it's darker. It's harder to get the scares in with the sunlight peeking through over the walls. But that problem will solve itself as the sun sets earlier.
LongLiveTheSmurfRide
Well, a slaughterhouse doesn't exactly smell like roses now, does it? Is it okay if I do my boxing training in the slaughter house like Rocky?

The Interpreter
Just remember that if you go on a Sunday, it must be the 11th or 18th of October. There is no Sunday haunt this coming weekend, nor on the 25th: http://mobile.visitkingsisland.com/public/visit/schedule/
