November 22, 200916 yr I think the rides page on this site and the calendar and other things do need to be updated, but look at it this way. The mods go to great lengths to help our forums be the best they can poissibly be, they take their own time out of their own day to keep this site up and running for us the community. For that I thank you mods.
November 22, 200916 yr Author I wonder how much total traffic the main site counts for? I can't imagine it's even 10%.
January 2, 201313 yr Looking at the newest update to the park's website, it seems that problems spelling the word "excite" aren't exclusive to this forum: EDIT: It got fixed 3 hours and 56 minutes after I made this post.
January 2, 201313 yr Why cant we life in a world were their is apropriate speling and gramar used? The irony....
January 2, 201313 yr Why cant we life in a world were their is apropriate speling and gramar used? I'm really hoping that was done on purpose...
January 2, 201313 yr I think someone did that on porpoise. Terp, no Flipper he (and posting as others post, so to speak).
January 4, 201313 yr It does have a good mix of showing an image generic enough to use at any Cedar Fair park without people saying 'Hey that coaster is at ____' and displaying a 'Ooh, roller coasters.' Yay! I like it too.
January 6, 201313 yr http://www.visitkingsisland.com/things-to-do/live-entertainment There are no Live Entertainment rides listed at this time.
January 7, 201313 yr KI updated their website again over the weekend, adding a new "Photo of the Day" feature, which the park mentioned in a tweet this morning. (Inspired by this forum, perhaps?)One new error: a placeholder countdown ("Something BIG is gonna happen") was added to the 2012 Howl-O-Palooza pages, such as http://www.visitkingsisland.com/daytime/ . (Presumably, this section of the site shouldn't even be active right now.)Those boxes are typically used to count down to things like announcements or Opening Day.

I think If I translated this correctly, Under where it says "Something BIG is gonna happen!" it also says "Tags for this ugly page. In a development". Sounds a little odd to me.....
January 7, 201313 yr ^ The Latin is placeholder text. It's not supposed to have meaning, other than demonstrating text layout. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum
January 7, 201313 yr ^ Google says it updated 4 days ago. I just checked, and the "something big" banner wasn't in a previous version of the cached page from December 29. Other changes at the same time include putting Red Gold in the scrolling sponsors list, adding a link to the new "Sponsors" page that includes Coca-Cola, and (finally!) fixing the Accesso store so that it can run 100% over SSL encryption. My guess is that they merged changes from a master template into individual site templates, and they simply forgot to delete the unneeded countdown from the Kings Island Howl-O-Palooza template. They should fix it before someone uses it to start a rumor.
January 22, 201313 yr On a semi-related note, going back to the beginning of this topic and the complaints about the "visitkingsisland" domain... I just checked, and it appears there is no longer an active website at kingsisland.com. This means there's a possibility we could have the "good" domain name for KI's website in a couple of years. Let the rumors begin! (Disclaimer: There is absolutely no way to determine if this will ever happen - even if the domain expires next year, there's no guarantee that CF will want it or even that they will be able to get it before someone else does...)
January 22, 201313 yr The domain registration expires September 21, 2014: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/kingsisland.com And indeed, there is no longer anything at http://www.kingsisland.com/ , and a Google search for "king's island" toronto ontario -ohio (using information from the WHOIS search above) returns nothing in the first two pages about the company.
January 23, 201313 yr Kinda off topic here, But I just noticed, even after working this whole past winter, all the Webcams have been taken offline..??
January 23, 201313 yr It could just be a technical issue. Things sometimes, and often do break with technology. That or there is stuff they don`t want you to see from the webcams...
January 26, 201313 yr Under the description for Carmen Electra on the Hall of Fame page, She stars in Disaster Movie, a 2008 comedy film in theaters beginning Friday, August 29.
February 6, 201313 yr Describing WWC, can you find the error? "Saturated wtih the fun and adventure of real-life white-water rafting."
February 6, 201313 yr Describing WWC, can you find the error? "Saturated wtih the fun and adventure of real-life white-water rafting." Yeah. Ive never seen White water rafting on a Giant Donut with seats on it..
February 6, 201313 yr Describing WWC, can you find the error? "Saturated wtih the fun and adventure of real-life white-water rafting." "wtih"? Should be "with". (And I note that it has been fixed already.)
February 12, 201313 yr I was just at Coney Island's site to check out their hours of operation this summer and found this: "Check back soon for the 2103 operating calendar." I like to plan ahead, but......
