Look at it this way: If your kids don't know who Snoopy is (Which last time I checked was 90 Days and $20,000) then they will now.

Not with kids...unless you count the couple of songs in the Lilo & Stitch movie. I have worked in a record/music store for over 20 years...I can count how many Elvis CDs that I have sold to anyone under 10 on my fingers.

In my original statement I was just trying to clarify the demographic of who was decorating the trees at this event...there were no "younger" themes like The Simpsons, Nick, Jonas Bros., Miley Cyrus...this is an event geared towards the over 40 crowd...and The Peanuts fit right in! :lol:

Why does Elvis have to do with Snoopy? Unless Kings Island puts up a huge statue of a Snoopy with Elvis's hair......

Why you would HOPE that I have no idea...the artists deserve to make a living just like everyone else...and so do I. Even with LEGAL downloading the artists do not make as much money as they do when someone buys a CD...which is why some artists took longer to buckle to having their songs available for downloading.

And as for your answer, NO I can NOT count the amount of CDs that we sell to anyone under 10 years old on my fingers...thanks to the Now CD series and artists like the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift..etc. we still sell CDs to kids...but admitedly not in ANYWHERE near the numbers that we did in our heyday.

Like I said, I have been doing this job for over 20 years...plus my Brother-In-Law owns a record label...I may not know nearly as much about Kings Island as a lot of people on this board, but I DO know the retail music business.

There is not much to do in this town...and the event is happy to get anyone's money they can...if they could figure out how to bus the inmates over from our Federal Prison they would. :lol:

10 year olds walking around without adult supervision with money in their pockets is a recipe for disaster.

I told my 4 year old that it was going to be snoopy and he had no idea who snoopy was. I explained to him that sponge bob, scooby doo, and such won't be there next year and it was changing to snoopy. He was really upset. When we went the past summers he really enjoyed seeing scooby, sponge bob and others. (scooby and sponge was his fav.) I was right with him in being upset that its going to be snoopy. I've talked to a few of my friends with kids and they were upset too. My family and I will really miss nick universe!

It actually may be better for kids to see Snoopy instead of Spongebob because it gets annoying at times when Spongebob is always on TV. Having Nickelodeon Universe makes kids get really annoying......example: My 4 year old sister. :P

Yea I agree with you sometimes I cant stand watching spongebob on TV but it might just be my age where im getting older and dont like these childish things.

For all of you parents who have kids that don't know who Snoopy is, Snoopy (and others associated with him) and the most popular floats/characters in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I believe it will be shown from 9 am to 11 am EDT on NBC tomorrow. Sit down and watch it with them, and then they will know who Snoopy is.

Kings Islands' site doesn't have the kiddie area up to look at, which must mean they'll be announcing the ride names soon.

How did you find those? Because it isn't listed directly on the Rides & Attractions page on the official site.

^You can do that with about any other website. But it isn't a efficient way of traveling a site.

The Videos page actually worked at one point- it was just a rehash of the Media Center videos.

They took the kiddie land section off the KI Website sometells me theres something happeing real soon ;)

I love doing that - the 200's are Canada's Wonderland. 204 is Sledge Hammer - if only we'd have that in Action Zone on the site of a particular go-kart ride!
