ILoveTheBeast4Life Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I believe we should add a new X-Base expansion. This new roller coaster should feature fighter jets as the cars with a lot of theming added to the que and ride itself. I think you should actually feel like a fighter pilot with vertical climbs and drops with some features of fire and water. After the first drop it would take you right over water with geysers shooting out of the water like you are being shot at from behind. After this you should take a vertical climb over a airplane bunker that explodes while going up and over it. After taking you down again you will go through a huge 180 ft. vertical loop while twisting and turning through the wilderness with the sounds of guns firing and explosions all around. Before finishing it will corkscrew you twice as like doing barrel rolls while going face first to the ground in a huge tunnel underwater as if you were crashing into the water as the ride completes. What do you guys think. I know it's kind of huge but I think it would be really cool. It would be a normal sit down coaster not suspended or laying down. I will be building a recreation on RCT3 shortly. Thanks Quote
Go Browns Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I always thought an intamin accelerator like TTD would be really cool themed like a fighter jet. Especially with a Zero G roll after the hill. Watching the launch on TTD always makes me think of a jet launching of an aircraft carrier. Quote
muppetfan1999 Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 If Cedar Fair does make it by some chance, I really hope they don't name it Backlot Stunt Plane. Quote
Dbfan Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I would like to see something like Maverick, but without the launch hill, just a straight launch. Quote
ILoveTheBeast4Life Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Yeah Maverick reminds me of a Fighter Jet simulator with the geysers shooting up at you when you turn around one of the final turns. Quote

I think it would be cool to have something that has the beginning transition just like TTD. But instead of a top hat, there is an Immelmann (sp?) type inversion. Then it could have a zero-g roll. It would be even cooler if there were like twin tracks and the zero-g rolls were right next to each other. Quote
Coaster Kid Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (I'm back!) But personally I really want a GCI back there. Something like Terminator:Salvation Quote
MarketingExpress Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 If Cedar Fair does make it by some chance, I really hope they don't name it Backlot Stunt Plane. Quote of the week right here... While the idea sounds good, I fear that this ride would suffer the same fate as IJST (BLSC) within a year or two. Quote
KILateNighter Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 With Cedar Fair No. they arn't much into theming, but paramount would theme and then name it after a movie they could name it Top Gun (ohh, wait can't do that) Quote
DeLorean Rider Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Yea, all that theming would last maybe four months; and that's a high estimate. Quote
HTCO Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I would like to see something like Maverick, but without the launch hill, just a straight launch. I gave always thought a nice little maverick look alikr would look nice where congo is. Just sayin'. Quote
Fear the Four Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 How about a building filled with Robo coasters? and Quote
Coney Islander Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Kings Island very briefly had one of those robotic arm rides, maybe five years ago. To my knowledge, it lasted a matter of days... Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 YEs it was right outside of the Zephyr exit. I remember riding it once. Quote
UnrealNightmare Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 This is why I'm glad Mystery Mine went to Dollywood. Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Kings Island very briefly had one of those robotic arm rides, maybe five years ago. To my knowledge, it lasted a matter of days... Having ridden one at IAAPA many years ago, I can attest to why. How many different ways can I say boring? Quote
HTCO Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I've ridden the robo coaster at Innovations East at Epcot and it was rather boring to say the least. The coolest part was creating it. Quote
SonOfBeast2000 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 if ki was going to put in a new coaster i would love to see a giga coaster like Intimidator 305 go in where Son of Beast is Quote

I would LOVE something like this.... its the 420 foot top hat that has to this day kept me from strapping into TTD.... I am terrified of that height, and even moreso of the possibility (albeit slight) of a train stalling at the crest. Quote
The Interpreter Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 If it makes you feel any better, the 456' tall top hat in New Jersey has kicker wheels, making a stall at the top a near impossibility... Quote
Braves0511 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Which in my opinion takes out half the fun and anticipation...But greatly increases reliability and capacity I'm sure. Quote
dustyj1986 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Perhaps another stand up? Or does everyone think it is a bit passe'? Or a high capacity? Or a drop coaster? Or a coaster that does your laundry and clean your oven? (before anyone jumps me, it is a joke.) Quote
