RingMaster
I'll bring up something that I don't think has been discussed here yet. My first trek to the Haunt is this Friday, but I've already heard horror stories about the lack of talent in both the mazes and out on the streets. I've also heard about the supposed "cheap" look to Wolf Pack what with "fingerpainted" walls and shirtless guys with glued-on hair. My take is that a vast majority of money went towards booking the Half-Pint Brawlers for almost the entire event, leaving little cash funds available for the rest of the event. It's just a hunch, and I have yet to actually go up there, so don't take it as factual information from me.
Dalefan
The WWE has a parental advisory about not trying this at home. But yet, the parents are mad that the child does what the wrestlers do. Lol. It's on the parents rather or not they expose a kid to stuff like this. Besides, this is entertanment. Lol. 74Gibson
We are talking about contributing factors. Alcohol + violence + an event promoted a ruleless = way more possibilities for problems than any of those factors occuring in isolation. 1. Is that anything like: Teenagers + no parental supervision + undestructable feeling = way more possibilities for injuries due to not following ridership policies or park rules. 2. If both are alike, then why would the park continue to build rides risking injuries to those that can't follow the rules? 3. That being said, there has not been a confirmed report of crowd issues with these events. Why would an issue suddenly arise just because it is at KI? Good point BrownTigrr, I like it cuz' it proves mine. That trailer does an awesome job of making HPB look like a horribly violent and unruley show. That's what KI is promoting and it will attract some. 4. Not really sure how you twisted my words to support yours. But if it makes you feel better, you are welcome! 1. Yes. It is exactly like that and that is why ride manufacturerrs are considering that in desings. Look at B&M's seating. I don't think I could get out of DB if I tried. The seats are deep, your feet don't touch the floor and your hips are hugged by the sides of the seat. Likewise, KI should realize that Haunt guests are gettting more unruley and should err on the side of caution. 2. Because they have not been having problems with rider injuries. 3. Again it's not a crowd issue I'm concerned about. If I were at a bar and HPB were they I would watch the show. At some bars I go to I expect the crowd to be rowdy and at some, out of control. That's OK w/me cuz that's what the bar is promoting. I played at a bar in Fort Wayne that played porn they taped in the bar. It hasn't caused a problem there, no crowd issues. I guess, by your logic, that makes it OK for KI. Personally, I don't care if people watch porn but I don;t want it at KI! 4. I don't mean to annoy or offend you. I'm just being humorouos. It proves my point because I'm ticked about the way KI is marketing this. If HPB is appropriate for KI, they didn't show that in the trailer. I believe that Ki is not the place for a now holds barred, gorry and sexual as possible haunt. I'll go to them elsewhere but don't like the idea of it at KI. Cobra- any examples of what's been stupid or facepalmable? Gibson, surprised how much effort he has put into this debate
Browntggrr
1. If a person was insistant enough and planned ahead, they could get out. Of course you don't think you could get out of DB's seating, there has never been a reason for you to think about it. Believing that the sporadic, unruley guest at HH is somehow tied to KI's actions is unbelievable in my eyes. KI should not be held responsible for a person's actions. Nor should KI decide to not to promote/add an event/ ride because for what a person may or may not do. 2. Because they have not been having problems with rider injuries. As there has been no issues with midget wrestling either. Personally, I don't care if people watch porn but I don;t want it at KI! Please tell me you are not comparing midget wrestling to porn. jdawg1998
The thing I'm not liking about midget wrestling is it's in the Festhaus. Right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, if I go to Halloween Haunt, I guess I'm not going to eat at my favorite restaurant (Panda Express) .

Cody
As there has been no issues with midget wrestling either. Actually there has. While watching A show "Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel" A midget wresting crew showed up too party, and things go out of control very fast. http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b201842_Little_People__Big_A_hole_on__i_Rehab__Party_at_the_Hard_Rock_Hotel__i_.html Video Included! Also I watch the full episode, After the fight, the Midget wrestling crew was escorted back to their hotel room(being kicked out of the pool area which is where the Rehab Party is). No more then 8mins later head of security was called to a Room for Unknown reasons. Turns out it was their room and these midgets were breaking everything, some of them weren't even drunk!! The reason the fight started was, Midgets were getting too out of hand in the next cabana, getting really loud and just being very rude towards the people around them, also they were trying to get girls that were involve with other guys into their cabana too party. I would like to add, while surfing the internet I found this article. "This is a combination of 'Little People, Big World' with 'Girls Gone Wild' meets 'Jackass' all in one." That quote is from Puppet, one of the leaders I guess. Link here
Gordon Bombay
You know I've scoured the last few pages of everyone's psychoanalysis of the supposed effect this visual stimulus will have on the crowds and their theories. ...And I think I've come up with a simple solution to make everyone happy: Whether you like it or not the show is starting Friday. Want to see it? Look up the times, check it out. Don't want to see it? Don't go. Don't like it? Stop by Guest Services and politely, respectfully give your thoughts. Simple. Problem solved. Everyone can be happy.

Everyone can be happy. I like this plan Gordon! I can not believe we have almost 20 pages and close to 300 posts with a lot of those posts being complaints about an event that has not had one show yet. I do respect peoples opinions, but I do believe that a lot of these are premature and don't think anyone can form a true opinion until they have seen the show and have seen the crowd types that show up. I for one have no interest in seeing a midget bleed, but it is not going to stop me from going to KI, slow down my love for the park, or my support for the park. I sort of thought that was one of the purposes of KIC? People who come together to show support for a park that they love and cherish even if they make or made a bad choice. I believe this was KI thinking outside the normal entertainment realm and sort of put things on the line to bring in different entertainment for the guests. For that I have to applaud them even if I am or am not in favor of the event personally. I will wait to form my opinion on this situation once we have seen how things go and how the park reacts to them.
74Gibson
Crap! checked a PM and lost my post. This debate stopped being about midget wrestling nearly as quick as it started. I'm not comparing porn to midget wrestling... did you really think I was? I never said KI should be responsible for unruly park guests and I'm certainly not trying to say that someone can not get out of a DB seat if they really wanted to. I'm just saying that companies are taking those concerns into consideration just as KI should consider the direction Haunt is heading. I don't like it and many people don't either. Because we love the park we are passionately stating how we feel in a hope that KI will listen and make Haunt an atmosphere more like we want. I said we to include not just the people posting in this thread but for the people that are not posting here because they don't want to give KI the pleasure of another publicity stunt... and no, I'm not basing that on speculation. It's just another cheap stunt and a poor way to make money... very disappointing.

Ok, what direction is the Haunt heading? The wrestling event has yet to happen, and it is already labeled as a wrong direction? How is that possible? If you don't like wrestling, that is fine. But making up things that forms an opinion before it even happens is just as bad as writing off a coaster just because the name is bad or the POV simulation is not thrilling enough. If you don't understand what points certain members have been trying to make, I'd suggest you reread this topic's discussion. So I should go back and reread this topic's discussion? Really? I think its fair to say that after skimming through just 3 or 4 pages of posts in this topic, there are those who are convinced this wrestling gig is a bad idea, and then there are those that don't. The question I ask myself is Do I , as a person, really wanna see a midget bleed? No. The reason some are choosing not to go to haunt is because we have seen a trend at KI... a fairly consistent trend favoring more risky, risque and offensive attractions and promotions. Some of us do not like that trend and are making a public statement. It may be an over-reaction in regards to the level of danger or whatever the Half Pint Brawlers bring but at least we are heard. When my firends do something stupid, I tell them because I care. I believe this is a stupid move on the part of KI and I am telling them. I just don't think this is the right attraction for my KI. ` We seem to be getting to a broader subject than midgets abusing office supplies. And if they have adopted to a very family oriented show for the theme park, then it is the theme park I have issues with...and the trailer...advertise one thing, do another. Kind of like a table tennis match in a fountain.... To scream out WHO'S READY TO SEE A MIDGET BLEED? and then show the things shown in that trailer while knowing the actual show will be tame beyond belief brings new meaning to PR hucksterism. Not even Jeff Seibert would have done that... As there has been no issues with midget wrestling either. Actually there has. Snowman
Browntggrr, Much ongoing respect and agreement for your point of view. Thanx for the reference! " I just love reading my name in print" News Carver from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Personally, I started making snarky posts about 13 pages ago because it seemed WAY to many people had very over inflated views about how important their opinion was about a midget wrestling show. I believe someone actually retorted something to the effect "some of us here are very important people" GET OVER YOURSELVES! KI is NOT a nonprofit. and if they can put more asses (that's just a donkey reference if any youngins are reading) in the Festhaus seats than Gouls Gone Wild can, and charge 10 bucks for prime real estate, guess what my fellow KI freaks..... They're gonna DO IT!!! A current employee admitted here that the quality of the guests at KI has gone down, and they are becomming more beligerent and rude. This started before HPB was even announced. Friday 7:00 My wife and I will be at KI. Are you all gonna come out and have a great time, or sit at home and "protest" that KI is no longer the Brady Bunch park? By the way, there were reports that during filming, guests got really angry about the Brady kids repeatedly CUTTING LINE! Proof that trashy people have been patronizing KI for years.
