grsmerdel06
I like that it appears they are gonna put the pavers all the way back to the ride instead of that ugly concrete. I think i see a park of the red ride structure on the ground.
Oldschool75
Has anyone seen a rendering for what the WindSeeker Plaza area will look like? With a question like that you know you will get a response from you know who. lol
The Interpreter
You mean you know whom, right? Terp, always predictable, except when he ain't (where was it the devil went down to, anyway?)
CoastersRZ
Georgia! There is a song or something like that right? Notice they are building the "roof" to the tower on the ground, before they lift it into place.
The Interpreter
It was also a rainy night in...but that's another story. As for that devil, the daring soul took a dive...but that won't open for a while. Oh, yes, plots...we were talking plots...or was it plats? Diamondback FOF
...Notice they are building the "roof" to the tower on the ground, before they lift it into place. I'd been wondering for a couple days now what that red capsule looking thing on the ground is! I guess I now know As far as it maybe not being the topper....no, it's not exact when compared the renderings....but I think it does look very similar. The renderings could be wrong...or the design could've changed....or maybe they will cover it with sheet metal and it'll look more similar. Edit: I posted too slowly
Guest PizzaBaby027
I believe the red thing is what will be placed at the top, they want to ride seats to be as high as possible, so they don't want to much on top. They want the guests to be up at about 290, so not to big of a topper! Which is pretty kewl, but the topper looks a tad weird but who am I to judge KI! KIfan73
Anyone else find it amazing how the top of WS lines up perfectly with the horizon (on KI's second webcam)?

Designs can change from animated video to final product. which is why i added, "i know i shouldn't go by it,..." i know that designs are changed and so-fourth, but that seems like a very large change in design. a nearly solid topper that resembled a lighthouse's lantern to something that resembles a smaller version of the ride carriage? I believe the red thing is what will be placed at the top, they want to ride seats to be as high as possible, so they don't want to much on top. They want the guests to be up at about 290, so not to big of a topper! Which is pretty kewl, but the topper looks a tad weird but who am I to judge KI! this doesn't make any sense, what does being 290 feet in the air have to do with "not to big of a topper?" there will be a set limit for how close is too close when the ride is running at the top, no matter what size the topper is. Guest PizzaBaby027
Its probably a support for the red thing, most likely a topper.

CedarPointer
I believe it's the platform at the top of the ride. You can see the railing that's visible in the renderings.

coaster_junky
welcome to KICentral! it spins around at the top only, there isn't a free fall like on Drop Tower.
IndyGuy4KI
Can't wait to go on the WindSeeker! Does it only spin around, or does it drop too? This video should help you understand how it operates. It does drop to let people off, just not the free fall rate of DT. Welcome to KIC!
mikejenkins1
I believe it's the platform at the top of the ride. You can see the railing that's visible in the renderings. And it appears to be on its way up soon.
mikejenkins1
So did they just pour concrete or is that a sand base they put down for the pavers as the area leading up to WindSeeker?
Delirium13
From what I can tell, it appears that it is still sand, smoothed out presumably for the pavers. I'd assume that the pavers will be going in soon if that is indeed their plans.

Dieseltech20
Pay close attention to it. Notice the deep lines and how some of them appear dusty? It is sand. I don't really see them ripping out a bunch of Concrete just to install more, Concrete.
