The Partridge Family

The park posted a link to this video via Twitter the other day...

Wonder why they would decide at this time to suggest watching the Partridge Family at Kings Island?

Maybe members of the cast plan a reunion/visit a' la the "Bradys" a few years ago?

(This episode was titled "I Left My Heart in Cincinnati." There was a line in the episode where either Keith or Danny asks a local girl if she wanted to go out and see the town; which, to us locals, was funny because that would have meant a gas station, a powder factory, and acre upon acre of rolling, pastoral farmland. ;) )

I'm not a big fan of the blue railed Racer. The white looks so much cleaner and simplistic. Especially in the winter, when there's a nice, fresh coat of SNOW on it!

Great video, anyways. But, The Brady Bunch was better. :P

While I always loved The Brady Bunch, I always liked The Partridge Family better. I thought that Mrs. Partridge was a little cooler than Mrs. Brady since she played in a band with her kids.

We are quite fortunate that Kings Island was featured in two television shows during its first two seasons. No other seasonal amusement park can lay that claim to fame. Not to mention, it gives us wonderful video clips of the park from its early years.

And remember, that Kings Island, which is 39 years old this year, is still a relative youngin` in the industry. (Just look at my avatar). Coney Island is celebrating its 125th anniversary this season. (The exact 125th birthday is on June 21st).

Did anyone else notice how many people were literally just standing and watching the actors as they were walking or riding. If you watch the Pop Up Brady it tells how the patrons were not supposed to acknowledge the Brady's or anything. I guess the Partridge Family was much different. Still a bigger fan of the Brady's. I have also never seen someone stand up on the log flume like that before.

This is the same guy who would later shoot up steroids right on camera.
