Something big announced 3-18-11?

It does seem like a dinosaur theme is fitting, after all, just look at the image rotator on the home page. As the image changes, dirt is uncovered to unveil the teaser. Almost like......paleontology.

I loved Don's video. I really needed a laugh this afternoon and that really did it for me! Thanks Don!

Even though I think Shaggy may have accidentally gotten a peek at something a little early the other morning, it sure has worked out well for we are all excited to see what this is!

First, it's "peek", not "peak". (Sorry, but that's one of my pet peeves.)

Second, what Shaggy got a peek at was (I'm assuming) just the teaser banner that everybody can now see on the front page of the site (which was apparently mistakenly put up early and then quickly taken down).

Guys, he also talked about "BLEEP feet long" in the video posted earlier. Doesn't that give a hint that its a ride, and elimination of an area of the park? And the "biggest" something. So, maybe a safari type ride but with DINOSAURS?!?!?!?

Nah, this ain't no Disney.

Letting my mind run wild here, here's a stretch of what could be happening. Let's say that the planning picture outlines the general area to be used. Let's say they do put in a walk through dino attraction in that area as phase 1 containing the worlds largest t rex. Action theater becomes Dino Island and entry to it moves to the new area walk through. We steal the old sphere from Borg-hawk and it becomes a meteor. In phase 2 the area could connect to x base and Firehawk could become a flying dino and fof could become meteor themed. Add to this that name "stratasoar" and that could be the big new ride to fit the theme or could be a new name for Firehawk, granted I'd rather it be a new one. As for it bringing something back, a dino area is in esence similar to what lion country safari was. While not being a thrill ride dinos can be thrilling.

If Cedar Fair hadn't recently shown interest in walk through attractions with things like Snoopys Starlight Spectacular I'd give this even less of a possibility. I do think there's a chance though.

Shaggy would have to answer this, but I do believe your right. My point was that it really got us excited and thinking about the park. Which is exactly what I would want if I was the PR department!

Well the fact that is it the worlds largest does have some SOB implications, it could be a new themed section of the part in 2012, or maybe the retheming of an area (Action Zone) with a SOB upgrade.

I was just thinking the same exact thing.............

Many clues seem to be pointing to a spot in Action Zone, except the "planning" scenario.....

To much TEASING......:P

See, here's the problem with your speculations. There is no need to retheme X-Base. It's fine as it is, and I said this in an earlier post...this isn't Disney World.

Kings Island is an Amusement Park, not a crazy anamatronics - based theme park.

Well, taped off trees eliminates the Dino Movie option. No need to cut down trees just to replace a movie. I would love for this to be SOB related. I never had the chance of riding it post loop. It closed for good the week before I went. I agree a dino-walkthrough sound too far out there for Cedar Fair. It also seems out of place at KI. (Not that Backlot isn't out of place either!) It also doesn't go along with the "thrilling" adjective the park used. I'm excited for next week!

In the teaser video posted, at around 0:34 he says in a spectacular outdoor setting of..... but then if you look at it it looks like Coney Mall. I don't think this is a coaster because it is "..." feet long, which he said in a short time, unless he is just saying random numbers, knowing they will eventually be censored anyways...

I think it's funny how WindSeeker isn't even built yet, and they're already teasing another something. lol

I know, it seems weird. What if they're not building anything at all?!?!?! :o

Just kidding. Do you think Don would fool us like that?

Could it be a variety of things, SOB, walk through (hope not), but could it be.................... wait for it ........................ The King Cobra? I was watching The Beast car being worked on and in the background I thought a few parts looked similar to the cobra train in storage at FOF. Talk about a makeover that would be easy and the thought of CF having components that could be modified to make the COBRA track handle a different car setup. The PAST, everyone liked it but had issues, maybe they found a new fix. Whatever happens I just hope putting something to mellow in that area would be WEAK.

I would be willing to bet that if you watched that video without the bleeps, it still wouldn't tell us anything about what is being announced next week. And I would also be willing to bet that they wouldn't do a teaser for a kiddie dinosaur attraction. (Sorry to dissappoint so many people).

If it's a walk-through it would be x number of feet long...

I kinda really like that idea :)

Check out the URL of the picture with the trees:

Dino theme all but confirmed.

Website URLs are so easy to change...and put in whatever you'd like. I wouldn't put it past KI to do that haha

I would be willing to bet that if you watched that video without the bleeps, it still wouldn't tell us anything about what is being announced next week...

Really? I feel like the video probably DOES have real information....make one video, bleep out stuff for the teaser, post the real one next week
