April 13, 201115 yr For more than two decades, Cedar Fair has been shattering world records for having the tallest, fastest, steepest, most thrilling rides and roller coasters on the planet! This summer, park guests will be able to get in on the record-breaking fun as Cedar Fair Entertainment Company has announced plans to partner with Guinness World Records' new division, GWR Live!, for a summer-long series of interactive record-breaking-events at the Company's amusement parks across North America. http://www.thestreet.com/story/11081726/1/cedar-fair-partners-with-guinness-world-records-live-for-a-record-breaking-summer.html How this will affect Kings Island, only time will tell.
April 14, 201115 yr Cedar Fair is obviously attempting to have their food prices recognized as a world record.
April 14, 201115 yr ...How this will affect Kings Island, only time will tell. Well, the press release says one of the parks affected is Kings Island...so it will...I s'pose... ...Official Guinness World Records® adjudicators will be present at Cedar Point, Knott's Berry Farm, Kings Island, Canada's Wonderland, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, Dorney Park, California's Great America, Worlds of Fun and Valleyfair amusement parks, to officiate a variety of record attempts by both guests and the parks....

Michigan's Adventure: The Park the Family Hates.
April 14, 201115 yr I too noticed that Michigan`s Adventure was left out. A simple factual error, or is it truly the only park to not be taking part? The whole thing seems kind of gimmicky to me.
April 14, 201115 yr Gravy buffets are clearly next on the horizon. If they had partnered with Ripley's Believe it or Not, I would say it's a certainty. Is International Street going to resemble Gatlinburg? KICentral.com. No matter what the topic is, it's always about food prices (and Son of Beast).
April 14, 201115 yr So re we going to have another world record kick line in the future. I would not mind to take part in the longest time stuck on a gyro drop, I would gladly take part in that record.
April 14, 201115 yr http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/visit/schedule/events.cfm Guinness World Record Week * July 12-17, 2011 * The park known for shattering world records is going to break even more this summer! Check back soon for exciting details. There is the CP factor in this venture.
April 14, 201115 yr So re we going to have another world record kick line in the future. I would not mind to take part in the longest time stuck on a gyro drop, I would gladly take part in that record. I to would take part in that record to. I think it would be very nice as long as you have a good view of the park.
April 15, 201115 yr Author Don't forget that Knievel, Wallenda and little Wallenda were all world record attemps as well. Those went really well. I look forward to seeing what's planned.
April 15, 201115 yr I think they should attempt the world's highest stack of nickels! That ought to help per caps!
April 15, 201115 yr I wonder if they are going to sell the books in the park now. Why would they do that? They didn't sell Rock Band in the park... although that would be so expensive it wouldn't even be worth it. Anyway, a book would probably cost 2000 nickels.
April 15, 201115 yr I thought they did sell Rock Band in the park? I definitely recall seeing a Rock Band box somewhere near Showplace.
April 16, 201115 yr They may have been selling it during the Rock Band Live shows, but it wasn't sold in any gift shops to my knowledge.
