normal
Been meaning to post some of these since the park opened for the season. I know how you guys love my home park. Anyways here are some shots of our new ride Barnstormer. Also the hot rumor for next season is a hanging coaster so take that for what it's worth. Snowman
Very cool theming! I gotta admit Dolly's people know their stuff when it comes to the old timey, folksie, style for the park. Thanks for the photos.
Dieseltech20
Very cool. Hoping to add this park to our list of first visits this summer
74Gibson
Skyhawk on Sat, Skyhawk on Sat... I can wait. Really I can. Screamin Swings are so awesome. I agree about the nicely detailed theming.
CoasterGeek101
Very nice pictures! Looks like it is fun! Thanks for posting!
sheikra_rocks
The ride cycle is shorter than Skyhawk, however the airtime is better because they do not staple you in at Dollywood. The last 2 times I was there, there was no wait for this ride.
flightoffear1996
SHorter than sky hawk? Now thats hard to think about.
Hendrick
So, there is a banner that says "Free Rides on Barnstormer"... does that mean that this is usually an upcharge attraction?
Vortex
Looks like alot of fun. Can not wait till monday.
flightoffear1996
Im not sure but I thought I heard somewhere that is was going to be an upcharge ride.
sheikra_rocks
The banner goes a long with the theme... "Free Barnstormer Rides" translates to me as "Free airplane rides" to go along with the airplane theme.
normal
Nope this is not an upcharge attraction as far as I know. The ride cycle is short but is alot of fun. Plus the wait is usually so short you can get back on within in a few minutes after your first ride.
Oldiesmann
I'm guessing that the "Free Barnstormer Rides" banner is part of the theming. According to Wikipedia, "Barnstorming was a popular form of entertainment in the 1920s in which stunt pilots would perform tricks with airplanes, either individually or in groups called a flying circus.". See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnstorming for more details.
Vortex
They only had one side open and hurt bad in the rain. I try to get pictures if it's not raining to hard.
HTCO
Very cool theming! This flat is one of the few rides that actually scare me!
Guest rcfreak339
The ride is VERY well done, the cycle is a bit short though. I think it was about 2 or 3 complete full swings, which was kind of disappointing considering how much I loved Skyhawk at Cedar Point...which gets about 5 or so full swings. I Rode Skyhawk this past weekend and I remember only 2 Full swings when riding it!!
Guest rcfreak339
Wow really? I remember all of Cedar Points flats being exceptionally long...During my last trip to Cedar Point in 2009 I rode Max-Air in the rain and it got well over 8 full swings, perhaps more (compared to Deleriums 3). It was one of the best flat ride experiences ever.
