Oldiesmann Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 More Enchanted Voyage today. Does anyone know who this dog is? It isn't suppose to be Scooby, is it? Comparing that with a list of Hanna Barbera dogs I found, that appears to be "Elvis" from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids. Quote
standbyme Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Oldiesmann, thanks for the research..I know that I have seen him in the past but I can't remember which cartoon. Your guess looks like it could be him...my only doubt is that the collar is a different color...and the dog in the ride seems to have something dark on the top of his head. I swear when I first looked at the photo a flight hat popped into my head...but I couldn't match that with anything. I am also trying to place the light tan dog that is on the left with his back to us...any guesses? (I couldn't find it on the site you linked too.) Quote
rcs Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Man, there were so many Hanna Barbera cartoons that I never heard of, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids being one of them. Thanks for the replies! Quote
rcs Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Well, it looks like about the only pics I have left are from the Enchanted Voyage. I do have lots of photos from the dolphin show and Conway Twitty concert, but they all show basically the same thing. I suppose today's pic is from the Enchanted Voyage, but I don't know what these clowns have to do with Hanna Barbera cartoons. Quote
Oldiesmann Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Oldiesmann, thanks for the research..I know that I have seen him in the past but I can't remember which cartoon. While watching assorted HB cartoon clips on YouTube, I found another dog that I somehow overlooked (possibly because he's the last one listed on that site). I'm now thinking that's likely Precious Pupp: That would also explain the "thing on his head" question. I have no idea who that other dog is. Quote
standbyme Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 ^I appreciate that you are going to the effort to solve the mystery. Personally I think you are closer with your first answer...with the above dog his tail & ears are not a dark color...maybe it's the offspring of both of your answers! Quote
Tanna Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Today is another pic from the Enchanted Voyage. Not sure which H-B cartoon this frog is from. Anyone have any ideas? This was just the "keep your hands inside the boat" frog. His head moved from side to side, and his mouth yammered to the safety recording. I guess they just stuck him in there to keep with the opening giant flower theme. Quote
rcs Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 Here is another pic from the Enchanted Voyage. I believe this had something to do with the Gulliver's Travels portion of the ride. Quote

I cannot remember from what cartoon, he was on. Quote
standbyme Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 ^No, it's not Muttley...if you punch on the link below that Oldiesmann poster you can see a bunch of Hanna-Barbera dogs...or rather a pack. Comparing that with a list of Hanna Barbera dogs . Quote
Oldiesmann Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 The dog I most recently pictured does have something in common with Muttley though. He was the first to use the "snickering laugh" that Muttley made famous. Quote
rcs Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 One last Enchanted Voyage pic. Does anyone know who these characters are? Quote
rotag Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 maybe wrong here; but im gonna say either the "hair bear bunch" or (forgets the name) cause the one on guitar looks like a bear just by the name of "PA"... Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 You are thinking of The Hillbilly Bears, but I don't think that's Pa: Quote
rotag Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 has to be hair bear bunch then. dark brown one match's this: EDIT: you sure that aint pa? Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Pa was indeed a lighter tan. The dark brown and the lack of a match for the little one in the Hillbilly Bears steers me the other direction. Terp, who was always fascinated by the off-color remarks you could almost make out as Pa mumbled. 1 Quote
McSalsa Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Well, just found this nice picture online and figured this would be a good spot to share it: It's a Kings Island park map I found while doing a google search...ironically it's on a Partridge Family Fan Club's message board. The poster claims this was from 1972, but I know the truth- because of Zodiac and Shake, Rattle, & Roll I would say this is a 1975 park map! Quote
standbyme Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I don't know if rcs has run out of pictures and this thread is done...but if so I would like to say thanks for posting all of these. They truly were some great shots! Quote
westcoaster Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 The pictures are great, I would guess 75/76 on the park map? Great map , had the whole resort on the map, the course, the campground, the inn, oh wow.... Quote
Diamondbacker Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Wish I could have been able to ride this, seems awesome Quote
Elixer Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 what ever happend to the stage behind the Drop Tower?? while i was waiting in line i saw a stage and wondered what happend to it Quote
PKIDelirium Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 TimberWolf Amphitheater? It's still there. Not used often, but it's there. Quote
