mccarthysnerd Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I was wondering what type of coaster you think KI needs next? Really, I think KI should either get a woodie, stand-up, or a wing coaster. 5 Quote
thunderbeast1968 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Either get over Son of Beast and fix the darn thing. Maybe build a Gravity Group, dueling/racing coaster. Like the one overseas with the "high five" element. Quote
jdawg1998 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Never been on a B&M Invert, but they look like fun, so I would choose that, or an small compact Intamin, not too tall and fast, but a lot of fun. Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I'd have to go with suggestions already made... A wild mouse or a B&M invert seem like the most logical fits, in my mind, for the park. I love the Intamin gigas, but one coming to KI anytime soon would just further destroy the atmosphere. And as far as the wild mice go... Arrow, please, if someone's willing to sell theirs. I missed riding Ricochet at Kings Dominion, but my one experience with a Mack mouse, Wild Mouse at Hersheypark, was substandard to Michigan's Adventure's Arrow mouse. Quote
westcoaster Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 A 2 year break from coaster, family fun attractions, and then a new type of b & m first of its kind possibly Quote
A.S.Coasters Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I would love to see a B&M Invert, or an Intamin Accelerator. Quote
Jasper Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Intamin Plug and Play, or an Intamin coaster with a style like Maverick. However, one of these fancy new wing riders looks pretty nice too. Quote
mccarthysnerd Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 I am also sticking to my opinion that SOB should return for 2013 So another thing I could say is that I hope Kings Island gets a wooden looping hypercoaster next Quote
THE_BEASTmaster Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Either a B&M invert or wing rider. Those B&M wing riders look like fun. Maybe an Intamin coaster like Maverick too. Quote
dudecoasterman Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I personally have always liked B&M stand ups and B&M inverts and have hoped to get one of the two at Kings Island. Quote
ohiocolts Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 B&M invert like most people want, and a solution to SOB. Quote
thunderbeast1968 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 A world record floorless coaster, or a Intamin coaster like Fahrenheit at Hershey Park, would be nice. Quote
bengalsguy23 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 supposedly B and M launched coasters are supposed to come out around 2013... Quote
Delirium13 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I'd love to see Kings Island get some type of Intamin. The two that come to mind are either an Intamin Plug and Play or one like Maverick. B & M Invert would also be nice. Whatever they get I hope they won't just clear cut an area and put it on flat land. Leave as many trees as possible and use the terrain. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 supposedly B and M launched coasters are supposed to come out around 2013... I have been reading that on a few websites lately. I wonder if it will new techonogly? Quote
Hank Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Another thing.... Those Intamin Maverick-like coasters are getting somewhat "cookie-cutter-ish". It's time for something completely different, and King's Island should be the park that gets it! Quote
Titan Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I would love it if they could get an Aqua Trax, but it would look out of place. Quote
rotag Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Imo; an properly themed Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter, or The Gravity Group SPLINTER concept Quote
CoastersRZ Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 As others have said, I would love to see Kings Island add a B&M inverted coaster. They are simply so much fun... Not to mention they are good high capcity rides, unlike wild mouse coasters. Quote
Captain Picard Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 A 300+ foot high with over 5000 feet of track B&M dive coaster. Quote
A.S.Coasters Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Another thing.... Those Intamin Maverick-like coasters are getting somewhat "cookie-cutter-ish". It's time for something completely different, and King's Island should be the park that gets it! Cookie cutter? The Blitz coasters are nothing like cookie cutter (and there are only 2 of them), more geometrical ride like http://rcdb.com/778.htm?p=1157, are cookie cutter. Blitz's are too well flowing and (obviously) not very geometrical. Quote

The Interpreter Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Maverick is the only coaster of its kind in North America. There's really nothing else even remotely close to it. Quote
74Gibson Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 That launched first hill alone sets it apart in my book. Quote
Hank Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 OK. It just seems to me that these new Intamin creations are ground hugging, tight twisting, similar movements and such to Maverick and, if KI is gonna get a new machine, I'd like it to be totally different. Just my opinion. Quote
