mccarthysnerd
Which operating Roller Coaster at Kings Island has the most uncomfortable trains/cars? Do you think just the cars need replaced, or the whole coaster needs Demolished/Refurbished?
Hank
Firehawk - hurts my chest, but I understand the experience!
jdawg1998
In my opinion Firehawk isn't uncomfortable it's just very complex and awkward. The most uncomfortable for me is Delirium (I know not a roller coaster). The restraint comes right down onto...yeah, you understand.
calakapepe
^^^ You can avoid or lessen the discomfort, you know.

Jasper
I would have to say Delirium as a ride, no padding at all on the seats. As far as roller coasters go I really don't feel as any of them are THAT uncomfortable.
jdawg1998
FoF/Backlot Ew, yes! Those low seats with the annoying lap bar where you feel so tight against the seat. I'll vote for that.^
Diamondbacker
FoF/Backlot Being 6'4", I find it hard sometimes to squeeze into these seats. I would also have to vote for the back seats in The Vortex cars.
KI FANATIC 37
FoF! Im a tall guy (there are taller people on here) but every time I step into that car I just want to get out immediately!
westcoaster
Don't really know of any that are in need of demolished, or tearing down, but since that is the question? Tear it down, rebuild do something with SOB. I loved riding it !!!!!
TombRaiderFTW
Invertigo, by far. I must have oddly shaped shoulders/collarbones, because that ride, Drop Tower, and Dollywood's Wild Eagle all eat at my shoulders/collarbone area like there's no tomorrow. It's not something I hear other people mention, so it must just be me, but still.
Gordon Bombay
Vortex. Those arrow restraints are awful. I'd rather punch myself in the head.
Oldschool75
^ I Agree. The old Arrow restraints are horrible hard rubber. They really need a softer rubber on these. I'm not sure how many times I've walked away with bruised cheekbones from that ride.
benred23
Ill have to agree with Vortex. As much as I love the ride, The shoulder restraints are the WORST! It takes every muscle in my neck and back to keep from smacking my head on the sides!
alluna
I'm throwing in on Vortex, too. I lurrrv Vortex, but not the head bangin' good time it delivers. Yikes.
LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I would say Vortex, and actually The Racer has been really tight on me the past couple seasons. Then again, I've gained weight which has probably been the issue. I'm dropping a lot of it this off season so hopefully it will be more comfortable. DeLorean Rider
Vortex, hands down.
Captain Nemo
Mine has to be Firehawk, I am at the point I can't ride it anymore. I think those restraints would work great on other coasters, just not a flyer.
TTD-120-420
Flight of Fear, Backlot, and Adventure Express. Being tall is not a good trait to have at an amusement park.
16gwoods
For me I will have to say Firehawk and The Racers. Firehawk would be fine if not for the helix thing at the end.. it pretty much squeezes me to death.(not really to death for thoses wondereing) And as for The Racers the restraint itself is fine but the head rest has a horizontal metal pole in the headrest for support. Well my head hits exactly where that is so every time I ride I end up with a bruise on the back of my head.
McSalsa
Invertigo. Big "lump" in the back of your seat doesn't exactly feel comfortable. And back seats on Vortex also stink, I'm ok with the front though. Now, I will also comment on the most comfy of Kings Island train designs...Diamondback. Last time I rode it, felt like I could easily take a tap in them if they weren't attached to a 230' roller coaster.
spitfire
Vortex and Backlot are a bit uncomfortable, and The Racer gets to me, too, though not as bad as it used to. I'm not sure if that's from the seats though or just the ride itself.
KIfan1980
Vortex, hands down. To me it's even more painful if you try and put your hands up

The Interpreter
Vortex, hands down. To me it's even more painful if you try and put your hands up I wouldn't know. Terp, known for following rider instructions to the letter, even when parks are seeking photo shoots of riders with "hands up." No, thank you. shark6495
SOB, when it was operating I barely could squeeze into the car. I was 18 and in shape... I doubt at 26 I could fit in comfortably now...
LongLiveTheSmurfRide
Everything about SOB was uncomfortable.
kingsrattler
I can tell you a ride.. not at Kings Island, that has the most comfortable seats. It was a Thunder of an experience riding it for my first time this past weekend.
kblanken
If the Sun is showing in the sky, Firehawk is painful on the lift and while waiting to get back into the station, at least for the eyes.
BB1
For me, backlot sc.'s restraints on the legs are not that enjoyable, and The Racers lap bars can be of a pain.
