jasonondropzone Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 It wouldn't be in west virgina, sorry. It's a local station. D; lucky dogs. Quote
ohiocolts Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 You could probably find it searching on YouTube. Quote
TheKlockster Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 It should be on Youtube. Zosobeast burnt it for me on a DVD. It's so cheezy but I love it! The Brady Bunch is from back in the day when TV was fun. Quote
ohiocolts Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Loved watching the show. Funny how The Racer was refered to as "the roller coaster". Also was nice to see the old rides. Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted April 15, 2012 Author Posted April 15, 2012 Actually, MeTV is a nation-wide network as of December 2010... Nice to see Bayern Curve, Keggers, Flyers and 'Tiques in action once again (at least on a 50" flat screen for the first time.. lots of detail I never noticed before, like the ugly green and brown water line on the flume.. yuck!) They seem to have cut out a bit for this airing (Alice's 'Crouquette' remark about ET, etc.), but a classic just the same! Quote
Oldiesmann Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 It wouldn't be in west virgina, sorry. It's a local station. Edit: see above post. Quote
thatbandguy8807 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I was excited when I noticed this was coming on. It was so mice seeing the old rides. I wish they would play that episode more often though lol Quote
markr Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Loved watching the show. Funny how The Racer was refered to as "the roller coaster". Also was nice to see the old rides. I remember that normally in those days, that is how people would refer to The Racer since it was the only major coaster at the park. For example, when people went to the park, they would usually say " Let's go on The Rollercoaster next.", not "Let's go on The Racer." Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 That continues. Just last year, I heard a couple say "Let's go on the Drop Tower!" No, seriously...what was Bavarian Beetle (other than my most favorite ride in the park in 1972)? Quote
markr Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 That continues. Just last year, I heard a couple say "Let's go on the Drop Tower!" No, seriously...what was Bavarian Beetle (other than my most favorite ride in the park in 1972)? Sorry Terpie, didn't mean to overlook Bavarian Beetle which was one of my favs too. ( How I miss that ride.) I'm just saying that I recall that people always seemed to say " Let's go on the Roller Coaster" when referring to The Racer in the years before The Beast opened. . I'm just guessing that maybe they didn't consider Bavarian Beetle on the level of a major coaster. Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted April 16, 2012 Author Posted April 16, 2012 Let's not forget the venerable "Scooby Doo" coaster, whose yellow beams were visible in a few shots of the show as well. 1 Quote
markr Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Let's not forget the venerable "Scooby Doo" coaster, whose yellow beams were visible in a few shots of the show as well. Amen, Thrill Bisuit. The Beastie be darned, to me that ride will always be The Scooby Doo coaster. Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted November 4, 2012 Author Posted November 4, 2012 MeTV Cincinnati, Today at 12:30... coming up! 2 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Yes! Finally! I haven't been able to watch this episode in its entirety on TV in a long time (don't remember the year, but it was back when I had a 9:30 bedtime), and I'm finally able to today. This is awesome. For those not in/around Cincinnati, it's also on Columbus' MeTV channel (4.2) at the same time. 1 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 A TV channel... I don't really know how to describe it better. Sort of like TV Land, except on regular (non-cable/-satellite) television. They usually show what I consider "classic" TV--The Dick Van Dyke Show, M*A*S*H, The Bob Newhart Show, The Honeymooners, I Dream of Jeannie, etc. (Oh, and The Brady Bunch, of course.) 3 Quote
SonofBaconator Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 What the heck is MeTV? Dang FTW you beat me to it. Its a tv channel where they re-play a bunch of old shows. I mean old old shows like westerns and things like that. Quote
SonofBaconator Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Who provides MeTV?? http://metvnetwork.com/faq.php 1 Quote
Original Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 5.2? We dont use decimals in our stations... Quote
Jr for Birdy Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Thanks,I found it,i dont get it in HD so it will be just like it was! Put your zip code in their website and they tell the providers and channel Quote
jdawg1998 Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Well, I don't get it with DirecTV...and since when did TV channels have decimals in them? Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 TV channels started having decimals when the free TV channels went from analog signals to digital back in 2009. Can't really explain why some TVs don't have them, except to guess that they're older/have cable or satellite service and thus don't use the free over-the-air channels. 2 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 (Sorry for the double post.) Anyone else find it amusing that, in the big rush to get the drawings across the park, the family somehow manages to run from Rivertown to Coney Mall to Rivertown to Oktoberfest to the Eiffel Tower to Oktoberfest to International Street? EDIT: Not to mention that, once Mrs. Brady picks up the plans on International Street and runs through the employee gate by the restrooms, she delivers them to Hanna-Barbera Land (as the Scooby Doo coaster can be seen in the background)? 3 Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted November 4, 2012 Author Posted November 4, 2012 My wife and I were just laughing about that! Quote
