Possible Ride Station Location?

Featured Replies

^Agreed. I'd like a connecting pathway between Action Zone and X-Base, like many on here.

You mind reader! I was going to say that. I would love for this to happen

  • Ah. No. We have so much expansion space, why are we so hell bent on ripping out foilige and squeezing in attractions? Let's put in a Ferris Wheel. And some Flyers.

  • Am I the only one who couldn't care less about getting a Giga? Even a coaster for that matter. The big bad coaster war is over, friends. Here's to a new dark ride in 2014! Wishful thinking...

^Im just using my imagination here. I am not an expert at path-making. I just think it would be cool if KI could work somthing out.

Here's a general topography of the area from Google Earth:

While it's tough to see, the track on the middle-right side of the picture is Adventure Express and the shadowy building in the distance is FOF. Now, unless you want to want to walk down and up that big downgrade, I wouldn't want a path going down that way. Plus, it would subtract even more from Adventure Express's experience.

Maybe....?

Do you realize how long this path would be??

^Yes! It looks a little long though.... But yeah, Im all in for it!

^I hope you're Just Kidding. ( ;))

I'm really not.

Aside from the obvious terrain issues that would add to the overall cost and the fact that its way too long, there are access roads that would need to be re-routed. The service point going from the bottom of the hill (where guests would queue up for Trail of Terror) would have to go all the way around Dinosaur's Alive, the nearest adjacent point being the fireworks site. Not to mention, maintenance crews would have a difficult time getting their vehicles into areas such as Firehawk, Flight of Fear, The Racer, Adventure Express, and Delirium while the park is open since there is a path blocking them in.

Maybe....?

Exactly! You'd be able to get to X-base in the same amount of time by going around through Coney Mall. Why anyone would think this is a good idea is beyond me.

Well that path would certainly open up a "new area" I don't think they'd just put a path in to put a path in, but rather put a path in to take you along a new set of rides, games, shops, eateries, restrooms, etc....

Sure the earthwork would be costly, but if they ever want to use that land in that area, earth work is going to be required anyways, might as well start it in 2013 in anticipation of a couple big additions in 2014, 15, 16, etc..

Well, they could have put some animatronic dinosaurs along the path to make it interesting (awhile back)!

Did anyone else notice that Flight Decks sign was gone on Sunday? This may be something but it ma not be. I just saw it and thought, well. hmmmm, thats interesting. I dont know if this is normal of not (probabaly not) but...

^I believe that it's removed during Haunt to avoid confusion with its queue line being used for Club Blood.

Well I haven't been following the construction (destruction) threads lately but I think whatever happens, it'll be ready for 2014. I highly doubt it'll be a Giga too. I'd actually be shocked if it was.

Maybe....?

In my eyes it's not a "path", but a new area. New rides, shops, restrooms, etc.

I think the park could develop out into areas not previously thought of before. In 1972, who would have thought a major use of the train would be give people rides to a water park? Or, when they built the International Restaurant, would they ever have imagined that it would later be used for an event by a group of people that typed messages about Kings Island on a (probably not-yet-invented) personal computer?

I personally would love to see a new area. But I have no idea what they would do with it. Another safari area perhaps??? lol just kidding

^According to your signature (You know what would make Kings Island the greatest park in the world? A whole area themed to Doctor Who :D ) An area of Doctor Who would make it the best park in the world.

Paying attention to detail, just like you did with the spelling of 'signature' and 'doctor'. ;)

^You got me there. Post #147 has been edited to A.S Coasters' perspective.

With the scale shown in that photo, it would literally be the length of Coney multiplied by 3. Thats gotta be at least half a mile. You need more paths feeding back into Coney and Action Zone. Otherwise its impractical, and stupid.
