According to the promotional signage in the video, SoB was going to be "The World's Tallest, Fastest and ONLY LOOPING Wooden Roller Coaster on the Planet!" So, not only was it the world's tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster, it was also the tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster on the planet. Impressive.

Yes... it was.... can't tell if this is sarcasm....or just general "whoa! that's cool" moment.....

As we "await" the demolition of Son of Beast, I thought that this video of Son of Beast's construction would be appropriate to share.

Everyone's clamoring for demolition photos. Just watch this in reverse!

That picture really emphasizes how far away you went out from the station to the rosebowl. Look how far away the lift is!

Wow! Your right! I never noticed that before. I have seen Ariel views on Google and i knew that it took up a massive amount of space (I forget how many acres). It pretty much blocked off that section of the park for future expansion.

Although it pains me to see the demolition pictures of SoB, I am quite excited for the future!!

Keep in mind that the second picture has fisheye, giving the illusion that it's farther than it really is.

I was kind of disappointed about there not being an announcement about something new in 2013. Then, with the park promoting SoB's destruction, I get it now. It can't be cheap to remove something of that size, so, in effect, they have announced 2013's (very expensive) attraction: the empty land that SoB used to sit on!

There may be an announcement for 2013, As Cedar Fair did say that they would be make the rest of there announcements in October.

There will always (my opinioin) be somthing new at KI every year. Even if its just a new cup design, or new prizes at the games, I'm pretty sure KI will come up with somthing with the off seson time.

And, really, I'm not complaining. I'm always thankful for the times I get to go to Kings Island, as well for the times in the past that I've gotten to go.
