MrSaturdayNite
According to the promotional signage in the video, SoB was going to be "The World's Tallest, Fastest and ONLY LOOPING Wooden Roller Coaster on the Planet!" So, not only was it the world's tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster, it was also the tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster on the planet. Impressive.

Browntggrr
The banner at the front gate saids in part, ...welcome to P&G Dividend day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjCwm4ryvYs
Snowman
As we "await" the demolition of Son of Beast, I thought that this video of Son of Beast's construction would be appropriate to share. Everyone's clamoring for demolition photos. Just watch this in reverse!
Thrill_Biscuit
It's too sad to watch. Not because Sonny is getting the saw, but just look at that poor, doomed little green coaster in the foreground...
16gwoods
I saw a crane dissembling the hill in between the rose bowl and lift hill. You can see it from the High school.
ObiPugs
I'm sure others will be flocking to get pictures. Wish I was close enough and not working I would go get pics.
shark6495
In the video, the sound of the crate hitting the lock sounded almost as loud as the lift hill...

TheCrypt
That picture really emphasizes how far away you went out from the station to the rosebowl. Look how far away the lift is!
KI FANATIC 37
That picture really emphasizes how far away you went out from the station to the rosebowl. Look how far away the lift is! Wow! Your right! I never noticed that before. I have seen Ariel views on Google and i knew that it took up a massive amount of space (I forget how many acres). It pretty much blocked off that section of the park for future expansion. Although it pains me to see the demolition pictures of SoB, I am quite excited for the future!!

A.S.Coasters
That picture really emphasizes how far away you went out from the station to the rosebowl. Look how far away the lift is! Keep in mind that the second picture has fisheye, giving the illusion that it's farther than it really is.
KIfan73
I was kind of disappointed about there not being an announcement about something new in 2013. Then, with the park promoting SoB's destruction, I get it now. It can't be cheap to remove something of that size, so, in effect, they have announced 2013's (very expensive) attraction: the empty land that SoB used to sit on!

There may be an announcement for 2013, As Cedar Fair did say that they would be make the rest of there announcements in October.
TheCrypt
Cedar Fair's projected announcement dates do not constitute anything of significance for Kings Island. "Watch what they do, not what they say."
Original
There will always (my opinioin) be somthing new at KI every year. Even if its just a new cup design, or new prizes at the games, I'm pretty sure KI will come up with somthing with the off seson time.
KIfan73
And, really, I'm not complaining. I'm always thankful for the times I get to go to Kings Island, as well for the times in the past that I've gotten to go.
The Interpreter
Cedar Fair's projected announcement dates do not constitute anything of significance for Kings Island. "Watch what they say, not what they do." Or vice versa. Terp, contrarian.
