beastrider97
^My friend explained how he had been cornered in the room and was threatened by the guy, who proceeded to punch him in the face. While I agree a fist thrown may be instinct, that time it was clearly assault.
chimpy2000
^Wow. Come to Haunt and beat up people who try to scare you. Sad. Anyway, I think Ill go through Slaughterhouse JUST to meat Sam. I'm kind of a wimp, but I'll man up. The fact that you stay in character EVEN on the forums kind of amazes me. TK4TF
What's the best fear zone?
Tanna
Most likely, the guest didn't enter the maze intending to punch an actor. Some people, unfortunately, have an instinctive reaction of violence when they feel threatened. That's absolutely no excuse, of course, as guests are informed about the experience and are responsible for controlling their behavior. If there was no criminal intent, prosecution might not be appropriate. If the assailant ran, or otherwise didn't take responsibility, criminal charges could be very appropriate. For everyone's safety, anyone committing any assault in the park should be escorted out immediately, without exception. That's why it is good to scream, to quell the instinct to punch. As I'd written earlier, my scream was different with last year's Urgent Scare, not a frightened scream, but an aggressive scream, like a roar. I scared the one guy behind me, but the scaracters were more than safe. If one knows that one's fear turns to aggression, for God's sake, scream. It'll only add to the party. Punching someone ruins it for everyone. Two mummers escorted a guy from Cornstalkers last year for unwarranted aggression. I'd hate to think that there would have to be bodyguards in place for such occasions, or people hired to scare would have to serve as security. Snowman
What's the best fear zone? Toss up for me. Freak Street is great for the carnival atmosphere and all the Scareactors. The fog and lasers are also a really cool effect. (if they only had a shark!) Grimm Blvd with it's steam punk vibe is also very cool. DON"T miss the drummers under the water tower. It's a fantastic show.

LongLiveTheSmurfRide
Freak Street to me feels like the only true fear zone (based on the 2 visits I've had this year).
idontlikeyou
I love Haunt!!!! There were some things I would change..... But overall a B. Scarezones: This year they had four. Nightmare Alley Freak Street Cemetery Drive Grimm Blvd. The only one I thought was actually scary was Freak Street. They had a carnival theme and it was just cool. Strobe lights and A TON OF FOG!!!! You could barely see your hand in front of your face at some parts. But other scare zones were just pointless and took up to much space. Mazes: 12 of them for this year.... Only one new one and the 11 classics. So it could all be a little more scarier. if you want me to go into more detail about the mazes let me know. TheCrypt
What I would change for Haunt is relatively simple; change the music looping while waiting in line for Cavern of Terror from bubbling water to Underground Army by Hans Zimmer. In my opinion, bubbling water is as bland, if not more so, as howling wind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PhI5MemzZg&feature=youtube_gdata_player
beastrider97
Slaughterhouse and Massacre Manor were at the top of their game last night! Each were very scary and all the scareactors were really into their roles. Slaughterhouse really got my adrenalin going, it truly is a well put together maze. I gave a high-five to Sam and shook Mama's "hand", when I went through and was scared by many others. Massacre Manor is extremely scary when the groups are properly spaced out and the actors are at the top of their games. Well done!
TromaKing
I have been a haunt actor for a few years now. While I was in a house I never really had to many issues with violence. Yes I was hit several time. I was head butted on multiple occasions. This year I am somewhere out in the park. I will not tell you where. It surprises me how disrespectful people can be. This year I have been grabbed, groped, poked, hit, and kicked. I have a few bruises to show for it. Then you see the stupid kids go back to there parents that are laughing right along with them. I love being a haunt actor. 99.5% of the people are great and take scares in stride. However that last .5% ruin everyone's night. I have seen many of my friend already this year walk away from the game because it got to be to much. I don't have to many problems defending myself, but it seems that the minor females have it really bad. To me that is really sad.

Beerman_IPA
Hello! First post but as a long time KI visitor i thought i would post my review. I have not hit the daytime Saturday/Sunday stuff yet with my son (almost 9 yo as he would put it). But we plan on doing that on Saturday, he was waiting for his costume to arrive so he could dress up (Blackbeard this year for some reason but hey), he also has me dressing up this year with him so he doesn't feel out of place (can adult patrons do this?). Anyway... Overall atmosphere is awesome at KI around now. I went opening weekend and I was not feeling the ambiance that i usually do. I went again last weekend though and it was a LOT better. *10/10 - Atmosphere (i think that freak street was a bit better last year and Nightmare Alley with the chainsaw sound coming from Slaughter House in the distance was better then also but all in all pretty spooky, kid loves it too) ***bumped back up from original 8/10. Chainsaws and other missing elements were present last night. 5/10 - CornStalkers (last year i would have gave it a 7/10 because the ScarActors seemed a bit more into it, I did go opening weekend so could be why. The fog was not as thick and this probably hindered it. I will go through again before it ends to see if my score goes up) 5/10 - TombStone Terror-Tory (if you didn't have to wait for an hour or so to ride the train, then another 20-40 mins to go through the maze i would have scored it a 6 or 7/10. I have tried to go the last two years but the line was always so darn long we typically passed. I kind of felt like a sucker for waiting for it then after getting off the train...waiting again. Also i felt like some of the props toward the end were very similar to Corn Stalkers) 7/10 - Massacre Manor (nice classic haunt. my son really like this one. No complaints but nothing out of the ordinary) 8/10 - CarnEvil (my son ranks this one as his Favorite so far. nothing really different from last year but always fun. the tunnel is great and bubbles annoying cool too) 6/10 - Cut Throat Cove (we went through this in the daytime, 6:30pm, and we thought it was cheesy, my sons a pirate this year though and he felt 6 was fair as it might had been better if it was dark, i promised him we would go through again this saturday in the dark to see if it was truely better) *9/10 - Cavern of Terror. This is a nice maze, top notch, the scare-actors did a great job, you can tell they were having fun. *8/10 - Wolf Pack. I enjoyed this one a lot. I guess i wish it were longer, it was a bit confusing as to were to turn but thats also why i liked it so much. This is all i have seen so far, i will edit and update as i progress. This weekend we plan on hitting Wolf Pack Friday and Cavern of Terror also (reviewed above now). Saturday will be Cut Throat again per his request and Urgent Scare) As for the slight subject change on the violence on the actors, that just sucks. I use to work at the old Cambonie Mission Haunted House in Anderson TWP and had never had this happen to me personally but being 6'5" i was typically asked to help get the offenders off site asap. we always had a sheriff on duty to assist. If this ever happens while i am walking through with a group i have the Actors back Side note: Kudos to KI for getting slightly better beer on site... thumbs down for price though. Cheers! If you have any respect for the wonderful silliness of a KI Halloween, I would hope you dress up with your young one and have a great time! It's encouraged. I give much respect to every adult I see at the park dressed up with their little tykes. Regarding beer prices, You also can get a Skyline coney much cheaper at other locations to, but the view isn't nearly as good. It is what it is. Have a blast.

Beerman_IPA
well, the poor lads costume did not arrive. We will get dressed up next weekend. He will be Blackbeard the Pirate, I will be Eddie from Iron Maiden. Today we will be our mild mannered selves. I need to edit my original review. Last night was great. Chainsaws wandering again, I noticed a few extra props i didn't see before and the lines were never more than 30 mins~. Beerman is a superhero name I brew as a hobby.

Bennett
Agreed, every haunt last night was better than it was opening night. Glad that they had the "chainsaw" back at the end of Slaughterhouse...shows that those in charge do listen, though, give him a real chainsaw, for petes sake...lol Daughter and I went ahead, as this was our last trip to Haunt, and got Fright Lane lanyards. Were $30 a piece with our half price Fun Perks coupons (took an act of congress to get it done, though..inept work at it's finest). Made it thru every single haunt in 3 hours, taking our time around the park. Really helped on Madam Fatales, CornStalkers, Tombstone, CarnEvil, and Massacre Manor. That said, Fatales was great! CornStalkers is utterly useless. Tombstone was decent, best part the bridge across WWC all fogged up. Definately not worth waiting in line for. Club Blood, again, useless. Other than the three or four dancers inside, just silly. The lady outside had the line of the night, directed at the group of 12 year old boys in front of us. Cannot say it here...wouldn't want to get her in hot water, but, HILARIOUS!

Last time I checked, there were no Fright Lane coupons available through FUN Perks, only Fast Lane coupons. If the cashier took your Fast Lane coupons and you didn't buy Fast Lane, then you were ripped off as $30/person is the regular price of Fright Lane on Friday nights to begin with per the online purchase system on the KI website.
Bennett
Oh, goody. It did seem as they were as useless as tits on a nun back there, and, turns out that I was absolutely right. I did get $20 in "Beagle Bucks" back, bought a t-shirt for free. So, I guess they cost me $40, or, $60 with a free shirt. I kind of wish that you hadn't told me that. It seemed like complete ineptitude in that shack last night. *Edit* The good news is, apparently that fiasco took me from 1 star to 4 stars. So, gives me two $20 off a 2013 season pass. So, between that, the $20 in Beagle Bucks, the $25 Merch voucher, and the $40 savings on two season passes, I did OK. Not so mad now. Plus, three more that I can print off.

chimpy2000
You guys... you said the Madame Fatales line will be long. Once it opened we took about 5 mins. to get in. Im still shaking from that maze. Its not so much that its scary, its that its so overwhelming you jump a every little thing. Nearly passed out at the end. I was so jumpy I didn't have time to see how well the maze was put together.
