Cedar Flags or Six Fair

I highly doubt this is true. If it didn't come from the companies' mouths, I'd take it with a grain of salt. Plus, why would SIX and FUN want to merge?

Ouimet isn't Kinzel, and he certainly isn't Apollo.

It was seriously talked about not all that long ago. Be careful what you are so dismissive about. Just recently, the second highest person at Six Flags, a former Paramount Parks Chairman and CEO and Cedar Fair executive "retired," on very short notice, and with very little notice or fanfare.

I pay a lot more attention to rumblings than those who so derisively dismiss things. The conventional wisdom is often neither wise nor right.

But the two companies have very little overlap, in Southern California mostly...

A merger would have very little effect on the competition for customers, but may well adversely affect the companies' suppliers in the industry.

^ That is more of a regional competition.

I am referring to the minority enthusiast side who travels nationwide to enjoy the constant 1-upping the parks partake in.

Which has largely ended anywho.

WindSeeker, Sky Screamer. Chicago coaster, Sandusky coaster.

It's almost like a Magic Mountain/Cedar Point competition for most coasters. A costly distraction. What's the return?

Once upon a time, the tallest, fastest and only wooden loopin...uh, never mind.

I think Ouimet's started turning around Cedar Fair. Already we have seen great Haunts, theming, and attention to detail. It will take time, as with most changes, but it will eventually turn out to be better than the Kinzel Era at least.

Amusement parks better not turn into the airlines where every company must merge.

Yah, I wouldnt want to pay baggage fees for every bag I can't take with me...

Or get really bad for for a high price ...

I believe we have a giant bunny who roams the park. At night.....

Memes..... What would we do without 'em?

No but seriously I doubt this will ever happen dispit past unsuspected mergings.

I also real hope not.

1. This thread had been dead for a month and a half. Threads that old generally shouldn't be bumped unless you are contributing something new, such as a recent development in the story.

2. Could you please at least TRY to make an effort at proofreading your posts? I really shouldn't have to point out to someone who's already made nearly 200 posts that not only do the Terms of Service require that you do so (indeed, it's the very first thing in the TOS), but it's a basic courtesy to your fellow posters to not force us to rack our brains in a futile attempt to decipher your posts.
