I was at the park today, and boy was it crowded, especially for a Monday. We only got on Firehawk and Diamondback before heading over to the much less crowded Soak City. However, while queuing for FH, I noticed something of interest under the ride. Remember those footers with grate looking things on top that seem way too close together? I still can't answer why they are so close, but the same thing is seen under Firehawk.

Here is an overview. I circled the sewers. Three in total, two on the left, with one on the right.

And now zoomed in. The left two:

And the right one:

These are just standard drainage channels, same as any other ride/ coaster that needs to maintain rain water or any other source of water that may pool in that area.

That's what I thought when they were first discovered at the 2014 sight. But, why so close together? Why isn't one enough?

Firehawk to be moved to Action Zone so xbase can expand?

Not going to happen. The footings in the construction site go down into the valley near Flight Deck's turn around. Firehawk has to be on flat land.

I hope something shows up, I just read the last 3 pages of crap.

Well, first I wouldn't call my Firehawk sewer discovery crap. Second, I have found some posts highly amusing. While there wasn't anything new, today has been very humorous for me. Specifically, Terp's replies to Vortex lover, among other things. Oh, yeah, that keyboard talk was very funny. In the end, new information or not, on track or not, this thread is always entertaining.

rcwizard13, going to get more pop and pop some popcorn.

This is off topic but did anybody hear about ki plans to tear down Vortex some where in 2016 because of age and arrow dynamics went out of business and parts are hard to find unless ki pay a hefty penny for them

We went through this discussion several pages ago. I believe the consensus was Arrow parts are not hard to come by as S&S still makes them.

So wait - you saw the discussion where we agreed that Arrow parts are not hard to come by, yet you still believe KI plans to tear down Vortex because Arrow parts are hard to come by?
