CoastersRZ Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 None of the theming would change. Instead, they would reintroduce a new ride program. This would mean that the soundtrack for the ride woudl have to be reworked to correspond to the theming. From what I`ve heard, it is a legitamite possibility that it may recieve a new program in the future, although I`m not sure if that will be in 2005 or not.
familyman Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 I love TRTR. From the time you walk up to enter the cue line the ride sets the mood. No other park in Ohio has a ride that does this. Once you enter the tomb you are entertained by the scenery and special effects until it’s your turn to ride.
TheKlockster Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 More is meant by Program than music and effects. Huss Top Spins operate on different modes. In Roller Coaster Tycoon, it calls them Beginners, Intermediate and Berserk. I am not sure what the programs are really called, but TRTR is on the equivalent of Beginners now. When HUSS comes to reprogram the ride, it will be longer in length, and probably do faster flips, and more of them. It will probably be upgraded to 'intermediate'. Expect a longer and more exciting experience next season!
HelixSpiral Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Yes there is more to the ride program than just the show, but the current show and ride sequence are designed around each other. You can't just change what the ride does without changing the show. If you did, the show would make no sense. Now, changing the show lighting shouldn't be extremely hard; PKI's entertainment department could probably do that. Changing the audio would be a different matter. The entire thing would have to be reorchestrated and that wouldn't be easy or cheap.
TheKlockster Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I think the ride operation is being reprogramed. The reason PKI hasn't done it earlier is that HUSS told them that HUSS had to come out and do it. If it was just theming, then HUSS wouldn't care if PKI did it - all they care about is the ride.

TRTR Guy Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Now, changing the show lighting shouldn't be extremely hard; PKI's entertainment department could probably do that. Thats putting a lot of faith in E&A

SOB_TOM Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 As do I. I think, in a nicer way of putting it, Matt is sayin that if you dont know, then DONT COMMENT!
matth Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 "CLX_W_050 DeviceNet ArmorBlock Node 3 failure" didn't we fix this problem? ..matt
DeliriumDreamer Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 As well as Delirium's 'W- Toggle_Switch_Stucked'. Huss needs better translators working for them, if you ask me.
TRTR Guy Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I don't even want to get started with push button stucked, Rockwell needs to learn how to spell, and put spaces where needed.
Legend Rider Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 ha ha ha, if only it said, hey, Fatal Error, Abort, Run Away! Operator Error, Brake Error, Restraint Error, and not something like"NotOk" or "Stucked" LOL this would not pass 2nd grade...
TheKlockster Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 Well, what I said was based of what somebody told me, and the park map. If its wrong, its not my problem. I'm not too worried about it.
BoddaH1994 Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 "CLX_W_050 DeviceNet ArmorBlock Node 3 failure" didn't we fix this problem? ..matt Did you try hitting CTL+ALT+DEL?
BoddaH1994 Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 You know, they are a European company, it's probably that darn metric system.
TRTR Guy Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 You know, they are a European company, it's probably that darn metric system. Rockwell Automation isn't an european country, their based in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
SOB_TOM Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Matt, Learn from a pro. Just ignore em. Over half of em dont even know what is really going on anyway.
drewbari Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I picked up a park map while I was at Fear Fest last night. When I got home and was looking at the map I came upon the listing for Tomb Raider: The Ride and this is what it said : "Tomb Raider: The Ride The Sequel- Experience a longer and more thrilling adventure as mystery and mayhem collide in an epic battle of fire and ice." Now I did not ride Tomb Raider last night, and I highly doubt that they changed the program on it this late into the season. But, could this be a hint that next year TRTR will have a new program? Did anyone else notice this in the park maps? Cool!
Kenban Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 You know, they are a European company, it's probably that darn metric system. Rockwell Automation isn't an european country, their based in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The spelling on screen would have nothing to do with rockwell. All they do is make the PLC (Programmable logic controller) that runs the ride. The spelling is the problem of the people who program it which would be HUSS. Which last I remember they are based out of Germany.
DragonLord Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 I didn't like TR:TR. I tend to get off the ride feeling a little sick. It's not my idea of fun. Oh well. Maybe if the reprogram it it would be better? They are building a new version of the ride at PKD so they could be coming up here to do some work on this one.
PKD_Freak Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 pki is getting a new ride program for tombraider?! Hope you guys have fun with it this year. well i think everyone knows that another tombraider the ride is going into paramount which is Kings Dominion. i think pki's old ride program will go into pkds version because i heard it does 5 flips too. is pki's 2004 ride program good or no good? o yeah!, PKD will be opening 12 days before PKI lol. HAVE A GOOD TIME ON TRTR NEW PROGRAMING!
PkiJake13 Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 What day does PKD open I'm going there this spring, also is your TR:TR expected to open with the park thi spring? From the construction pictures I have seen it looks like it will. -Jake

flightoffear1996 Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Don't you think we would have found out about TR:TR nw program by now cause I'm sure PKI would be using it as a marketing sheme.
