TheBEASTunchained Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Soak City at Kings Island opens for its 2nd season today, Who's ready to splash? 5 Quote
medford Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Considering the weather, I'm guessing very few. 9 Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 A good day for Polar Bear Club members perhaps... 5 Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 As bad as this weather is for Soak City, imagine being the General Manager of The Beach this morning. 7 Quote
jdawg1998 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Typical Ohio weather. We have 80 degree days throughout the whole month of May, and right when the unofficial start of summer comes around, the temperatures drop to the 60's. The funny thing is, the temps will be back up to the 80's on Tuesday. Mother Nature just doesn't like us, I guess. 5 Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 It's the same in DC, if that makes you feel any better. I'm sure it's warmer in Atlanta, but I'm happier here. 3 Quote
Original Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I just came back from DC, it felt nice there really warm. Of coarse when I come home though the temperature must drastically drop. Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 It did. Yesterday morning was very warm. By the time I left work. I wished I had brought a sweater. 2 Quote
Bennett Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 It would certainly be a wee bit on the brisk side today... Hopefully, this won't scuttle anything in relation to The Beach opening back up. Always did like that place. Hope to get there this season at some point, and see the work they've done. Place was falling to pieces last visit. 3 Quote
Adventuro Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 People are crazy. What I've seen they will go to Soak City regardless of the temp 1 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Looking at the webcams, there seems to be plenty of people in the wave pool despite the temperatures. Quote
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I remember when I went to Soak City once last season... Quote
tuxedoman52 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 As long as there isn't any wind, I'm there. The reason is that I don't like it when leaves from the trees get all over me while I'm in the lazy river. Quote
Dieseltech20 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Soak City was DEAD yesterday. While the sun was shining it wasn't really too bad there. Sadly it clouded up and I didn't try any of the slides but took a couple laps in the river with the kiddos. The workers were just standing around with nothing to do. 2 Quote
