Kills For Thrills
What is everyone's opinion on all the Kings Islands commercials but with coasters that aren't even in the park. I find It so ridiculous that Cedar Fair wants to do commercials the cheapest way they can. That's one of the main ways you get people in your park and you making some people disappointed in there park experience. What is your guys opinion? SonofBaconator
Welcome to KIC, Anthony http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/4128-terms-of-service/ Cedar Fair isn't being cheap, they are being smart.
TheCrypt
It's fun next to none. Come see how it's done. No one can even come close. Kings Island: the fun and only! No one can do what we do. The only thing missing is you. This place has got it all. Kings Island: the fun and only! I miss that commercial.

I thought it would be cool to play the background of that song throughout the park.
rcwizard13
Cedar Fair isn't being cheap, they are being smart. How is it smart, exactly? I mean they change the image to have each park's logo. Why can't they also do so with each parks own rides?
markr
Actually advertising rides from different parks started during the Paramount days.

Could someone perhaps post a video of this commercial for mine and others viewing pleasure? It would be greatly appreciated. P.S. As I wrote this, I heard a clank and looked at my TV to see none other than a KI commercial featuring a coaster I could not recognize. Guest Department47
Actually advertising rides from different parks started during the Paramount days. Actually, it dates back to Taft. Despite being a Kings Dominion commercial, all that was from Kings Island.
SonofBaconator
You gotta love the train. I wish they did more commercials like that. Appreciate the older rides.
spitfire
I'm assuming this is the one that's been mentioned above?
DontWantToWait42mar0
Just an observation I wanted to note, sorry if it's considered off-topic: I have seen many advertisements for Cedar Point in the last month, when I cannot remember seeing any at all before this year. Part of it has to do with Cedar Fair promoting the 2 parks for 1 deal(KI & CP), but a decent amount of it is for Cedar Point straight up. This coming from someone living in Dayton.

AintNutinElse2Do
After seeing The Bat and Beast cartoon commercials I'd love to see something like those to introduce whatever the next attraction is.

I am not entirely surprised. I always see Cedar Point adverts (if not more so than KI's), and live kind of between Dayton and Columbus, lol. (well I live an hour from city of Dayton, hour from Columbus and hour from Cincinnati) Only this year I see more of CP cause they play Gatekeeper commercials as well on top of the regular stuff.
Voicetek
I don't really care for the fact that they show rides that aren't at Kings Island in a Kings Island commercial. Now I know we all know better and none of us would expect to see those rides at the park, but still, what if someone had never been to KI before and really wanted to ride a ride they saw on the commercial? I know it makes sense from a business standpoint to shoot one commercial and re-brand it for the various parks, but I still don't care for it. SonofBaconator
During the fall of 2011, they showed a snoopy teacup ride from another park. I guess some lady noticed there wasn't a teacup ride so she complained on their Facebook page saying her kids were disappointed that they couldn't ride the teacup rode. DBInternational
Did anyone else see the marco-polo commercial during America's Got Talent the other night? I thought that was a good way to incorporate both parks into a commercial.
