November 4, 200223 yr Hey all... I got this from another site, thought I'd pass it on! I've got some ideas of where this could lead! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeff Siebert said it & I believe it....PKI to get 3rd attraction..... Yep, you heard right. While waiting for the coveted LAST RIDE ON The Beast FOR THE 2002 SEASON, Jeff had a tete-tete with the gathering crowd and this Momma (plus a hundred other folk) heard him say it just like this: Jeff: PKI's getting a 3rd attraction. Anybody rode The Beast today? Crowd: YES! Jeff: Notice the clearing of land beside The Beast? Crowd: YES! Jeff: Hmmmmmmmmm........(as he rubbed his chin figuratively) Jeff: Anybody rode the Son of Beast today? Crowd: YES! Jeff: Notice the clearing of land beside the Son of Beast? Crowd (drooling! -at least I was!): YES!!!!!! Jeff: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....(rubbing that chin again!!!) He left it at that, but assured us that PKI was, indeed, getting a 3rd attraction. No other info given, but the crowd started throwing out speculative wish lists and Jeff just smiled. Click here to view original post! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OK, back to my thought: I'm thinking some kind of skyride like the park used to have way back when, one end near SOB and one end near The Beast...I think this could be very cool! Anyone else have any opinions??
November 5, 200223 yr Sounds cool, thanks for the info. I wish I could have been there, but I've had enough of the cold already with football still going on.
November 5, 200223 yr I don't know, I'm still a bit shaky on the whole land clearing subject. While there is "proof", I'm still not gonna believe it until i hear from the higher people. Heck, they might be keeping it a surprise, i don't know. The mystery, the suspense!
November 5, 200223 yr some idiot gave me to pieces of info i want to belive both: the two clearings are for somesort of sky way ; the two clearings are stations for a new type of coaster
November 5, 200223 yr Author Like I said, I'm goin with the Skyride idea... It's TOO spaced out to be for a coaster. Yogi, if you are who I think you are...it's Steve. I got a picture of you on Sunday (F.W. was your escort.)
November 5, 200223 yr Who said it is too spaced out to be a coaster? We could be getting a Giga, and a hill that size, would require a enormous amount of land. why don't you look at aerial views of the park. http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/ima...=10895&z=16&w=2 If you look between where The Beast is, and where SOB is, a coaster, made in a stright line between the two, being only slighty longer than The Racer, would easily stretch from SOB to The Beast. They could make a Giga be that big, or maybe, we are gonna top the 400 ft mark. Who knows, but I'd bet whatever it is, its not gonna be just a skyride.
November 5, 200223 yr If it's not a skyride next year, it will be a coaster in 2004. They can't put a coaster up that fast for 2003.
November 5, 200223 yr Who says? The footers could have easily been poured over the summer, and with enough money, anything can happen, including building coasters in record time.
November 5, 200223 yr Yea, with enough money in their face, construction workers can somehow work faster!
November 5, 200223 yr Amen to that. Money is what makes the world go 'round, and what causes disputes, wars, and other crap.
November 6, 200223 yr Whatever is being built, there has to be at least forms if not footers already poured, so someone must know something. I am wondering is just maybe, we are getting a new coaster, or better yet coasters. Maybe we are A.) Gettting dueling coasters, that intertwine and such, with stations at different ends of the park, or B.) maybe we are getting some new type of caoster, much like something you could build in RCT that would allow a complete loop to happen, but actually has two stations built into the loop? Could prove to be two different coasters. Just a thought, as that would be pretty sweet, and with technology today, I'm sure it is possible.
November 6, 200223 yr I think because of its location that it will not be a flat ride. Hopefully it wount mess with The Beast.
November 7, 200223 yr Well, we already have one confirmed thrill ride, and one confirmed family ride for next year, so I am thinking that whatever else is on the horizon is probably going to be impressive, and along the lines of a rollercoaster or something that is a thrill ride. In all honesty, I think that only upper management at PKI ever really knows what is going in the park, along with Park police/security and fire and safety.
November 7, 200223 yr Yes," they know all the doors and are holding all the keys, but we know how to pick the locks"-Inraider Well, I think that pretty much sums it all up! If you don't understand it at first, then re-read it then apply it to the post above.
November 8, 200223 yr i'm not so sure that is the truth. i think it is more of they let us pick the locks on the doors that lead to nowhere, or the doors they allow us to pick always end up in deadends.
November 8, 200223 yr "they know all the doors and are holding all the keys, but we know how to pick the locks for doors without locks are not worth opening, no matter how beautiful they are, for nothing precious lies behind them, instead strith for the door that is hidden from eye and the most protected, for a passage that is guarded by many will bring its traveler plenty..."-Inraider
November 8, 200223 yr tehe. but Iam serious about what I said in that poem, figure it out, eventually it'll make sense. anyone need an explanation?
November 8, 200223 yr It seems as if I have heard or read this from somewhere before, but I am not sure what, or maybe it was something like this.
November 10, 200223 yr I am still going with WaterWorks addition it's gunna be 5 years from the last one, so it would seem as it was a good idea. If not it's a skyride or a small family flat, there is no way it's a coaster, unless it is a Wild Mouse.
November 21, 200223 yr Shadow2k3, what ride did you work last season? Anyway, I really have no clue what the new ride will be. I hope its something good tho.
November 22, 200223 yr I would be happy with any new ride, as long as its not spongebob or some kid crap.
November 25, 200223 yr It's going to be our long anticipated monorail... I hope. I just thought of that. Something that spans the entire length of the park... could stop in coney, could stop at the tower... never know. Some people will shoot this down right away, but i think it would help to be open minded for something like this. I say monorail or people mover this year, coaster that goes big next year.
November 25, 200223 yr Bob, they had 2 people movers at one point: a monorail that went through an Animal Safari, and then a skilift that went from Adventure Village to the end of Coney if Im not mistaken. Both of these are now removed probabily due to low ridership.
November 25, 200223 yr Dont yell or anything this is what my cousin said. "Dont we know them all? Spongebob 3D, Deliuem, and the scooby doo hunted theater" I know I'm not right but thats what I thought so can someone explain why not. because last time I checked thats 3.
November 25, 200223 yr Spongebob was never confirmed for PKI. It has been confirmed for PCW, but not for PKI, so no, we do not know yet what exactly the third item is. Just because they put him in at one park, does not necessarily mean they are going to put him in at all the parks. PCW could just be a trial run. The other thing I was thinking of was that, every couple of years or so, they change the movies in Action Theater, so I am not even sure if PKi would count that as a third ride. I mean, they change them so much, and I don't ever remember them couting a new FXAT movie, as a new ride. As far as monorails are concerned, I don't think we will see that ever again. Constructing a monorail now is very expensive, due to the technology associated with such a device. Look at Las Vegas, and the monorail they are building. I think if anything, it would be cheaper to extend teh train on around the park. I mean, to extend track, all you need is railroad ties, metal rails, spikes, and gravel. It can be done relatively easily, and relatively cheaply as well. The train gauge at PKI is small, and almost fits into the Garden Railway variety. There are many places on the web that sell this type of track, and even sell locomotives for it. I think that PKi already has two trains, so if they wanted to, they coudl just extend the track around the park, add another couple of stations, and add another train, and run the trains in sync, and use it to move guests throughout the park.
