steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I just sort of skipped over that......I was afraid to even try...LOL 1
Adventuro Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The snow on the ground makes it a lot easier to see what they're doing cause of the contrast, but it also makes it look like Spring will never get here. 2
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 next support is upright and being placed. woo hoo 2
Gplez90 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Very curious as to all the digging right in front of the 1st drop. Planting things? Would love a pathway there to get great pictures!! Foundation for a tunnel?! (Fingers crossed!)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
The Interpreter Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Anyone think they might get to the start of the carousel today? One can hope. Be careful with that organ. After all, it's nearly 96. 16

While there wasn't a tunnel in the animation, it is also true that Leviathan and Gold Striker didn't have one in their animations either. Both of them have tunnels now, so you can't discount the possibility. 6

Nick_Plummer Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I hope there's a tunnel! I was desperately wanting Diamondback to have one but it never got it. Are there any B&M inverts that go through a tunnel? 4
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 That would really rock!! And would make Banshee which is already a superb coaster that much more better than any other inverted!! 2
ChainDog Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Tunnel would be great! Track is getting ready to go up now... 3
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 next piece of track going up......those boys are really putting their hearts in it today......LOVE IT 3
homestar92 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I hope there's a tunnel! I was desperately wanting Diamondback to have one but it never got it. Are there any B&M inverts that go through a tunnel? Afterburn and OzIris have tunnels. Those are the only examples that I know offhand. 4
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 its really hard to see just whats happening in the area they are working on at the moment from the Tower cam view....so many things overlapping from that view 1
RailRider Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Nemesis, Montu and Alpengeist have Tunnels and Trenches Edited January 20, 2014 by RailRider 7
Coasterama Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Montu's trenches really add to the theming. Maybe Banshee will have cool effects like fog or something. 6
homestar92 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I think the question then becomes, are there any B&M Inverts with tunnels that are above ground? I know that Afterburn's tunnel is underground, and the one on OzIris is underwater. I don't recall ever seeing an above-ground tunnel on an invert. It's possible that RailRider's examples were above ground, though. The reason I mention this is because I think it quite clear that Banshee will absolutely NOT have an underground tunnel. 2
Gplez90 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 There are plenty of B&M inverts that have underground tunnels but im not sure about above ground tunnels. EDIT: ^^Beat me to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
SOBwasaSOB Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Montu is one of my favorites! They did a great job with the theming and tunnel on it. 4
Joshua Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The P.O.V. mock up didn't include one. If it was something that was planned for, wouldn't they've animated a ground tunnel in there, as well? Speaking of the P.O.V., I hadn't seen the night version until recently and I couldn't help but enjoy the foggy atmosphere. I really hope they do that at night for the real thing. But it also got me thinking of that initial teaser, with the graveyard. Wouldn't it be great if they themed the perimeter of the ride with tombstones? 1

I hadn't seen that before. 2
Coasterama Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 You're welcome. I believe that video was previously posted by Ohiocoasterman. 4
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The track and support pieces holding area is beginning to look pretty sparse.......wont be long til its all empty........i know we are all anxious for that , but its kinda sad too in a way. 1
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The next support is a big one and if you watch I bet it will be 2 pieces of track already assembled that goes up. Then the start of the carousel!! 1
Coasterama Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 There is an unidentified green object near the dive loop. 2
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 where are they going to layout that next support....i dont see any blue tubes on the ground in the area that it goes. 1
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 i think that green thing is a cement truck isnt it? 1
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 They just had it two of the movers moving big blue tube support like they do the track pieces 1
Gplez90 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 In the construction update video from their FB page last week, it was stated that queue construction would begin this week, along with other site work. It could very well be a cement truck, or a tractor that will shape the foundation of the queue. 3
