jcgoble3 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 A closer look at the rendering for Banshee's station. http://www.tonyravarch.com/portfolio/Current/Banshee/Banshee.php Very nice find! Those are some very nice renderings. Haha, I see the credit on the renderings! 7
Gplez90 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 We have our 7th and final inversion! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 12
sikkinixx99 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Awesome day start on the carousel in the morning!! 3
steveinphoenix Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 looking forward to davidw's colored update....should be very little left to color in 7
Shawn Meyer Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Anybody have a day time picture of the 7th element being completed today? I was at work earlier when you guys saw this. 4
myklhicks Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Anybody have a day time picture of the 7th element being completed today? I was at work earlier when you guys saw this. On davidw's site somewhere: http://www.davidwaderich.com/hotlink/KI/ 3
steveinphoenix Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 its really difficult to tell what was done from the angle of the cam. The zero g roll in front of the work area and the 2nd vertical loop behind it make it confusing to say the least 3
calakapepe Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 looking forward to davidw's colored update....should be very little left to color in He's probably at the point where he only grays things out!
Coasterama Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Well today was a very interesting day in the life of the Banshee Construction Progress topic. 2
davidw Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Two supports and three pieces of track installed today. Link to gallery 14
davidw Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 sorry for the delay in my posts today guys. I just bought a new house and we've been busy all weekend cleaning and painting 17
LoraX Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 sorry for the delay in my posts today guys. I just bought a new house and we've been busy all weekend cleaning and painting Congrats on your new house! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
steveinphoenix Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Davidw, all your work on the post is most appreciated.....I would say buying a new house would more than likely take precedent....haha.....congrats on new home.....hope you have many happy years there 10
diamonbackandbeastlover Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Sorry I'm late to this but I'm hoping if they add a tunnel the Banshee scream plays in there 2
The Interpreter Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Please capitalize the names of Kings Island rides. Banshee is a registered trademark. 6
sikkinixx99 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Would love a tunnel as I said before it would make this great ride even more unique!!
fanofFirehawk Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 To be honest I wouldn't care for a surprise tunnel like has been discussed above and back. If we had an underground tunnel in with the track fully dove into some sort of hole or cave that would be cool. But really if we get anything it'll be some ugly metal tube sticking out like a sore thumb in front such an amazing sight. A ditch would be more excepible but I would really just prefer to fly over an celtic graveyard if you don't mind rather than through two walls of concrete(well I guess not through, but between.) 1
TheBEASTunchained Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Although there may be quite a bit more snow on the ground at the Banshee construction site, the crews have arrived for another day of work..... 4
sikkinixx99 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 windy day out there the new camera is already covered again.
steveinphoenix Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 its getting really hard to tell whats what down around the carousel area...so many other element parts in the way plus the angle of view. Good luck Davidw...u must have eagle eyes. 5
Kat Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Gotta admire those constructions guys working in this extreme cold! 5
Existential Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Colder than a Banshee's tit - tering... er laugh. 3
APE Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 It's a little easier to see what's going on now. I can clearly see where the track is leading to and the support they just put up. 1
Guest KingsIslandPR Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 There are no plans to add tunnels to the ride. 18
Existential Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Wouldn't detract or add in my opinion. Looks fantastic without any. 6
Gplez90 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 First piece of the last element in the air! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
thedevariouseffect Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Boo...construction is almost done.. Yay! It's opening soon! Boo...boring rest of the off season 5
Coasterama Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Ok, I believe this is a keyboard code! @ = the number 2 on the keyboard. If you go 2 letters into the alphabet that would make @ stand for the letter "B" so.... @ = 2 which = "B", ! = 1 which = "A", !$ = 14 which = "N", !( = 19 which = "S" , * = 8 which = "H", % = 5 which = "E" and % =5 which = "E" This "code" spells out the name Banshee. Hmm...this name was going to be given to Mantis when it first opened but was not used due to people complaining about it being offensive. Is the name making a reappearance? I think so! - Connor Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 12:31 PM -I discovered this while just browsing the On Point Blog for Gatekeeper teasers. Very interesting. EDIT- I had to read through it a couple times to understand it. The title of the blog post was @!!$!(*%% 4
steveinphoenix Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 OK, you lost me on that one. WOW, the footer of that carousel has 6 of those big blue tube supports all crammed into one rectangular footer. That's a tight fit. Wish we had a closer pic of that.
