In the latest station photo, what are those guys in the lift on the far left doing? Pruning trees?

We did not mention all the statistics during the announcement because statistics are not what make a roller coaster great; it's the ride experience it delivers that makes it great.

  • It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. Under 30 days until Banshee makes its public debut! We can't wait for you to come out and experience this ride.

We have guests that are more excited about our live shows than our roller coasters, that visit the park specifically for the shows. For these guests, the Cirque Imagine announcement was as exciting as

I think it is going to look AWESOME!!!!! (and I hope that in the future, the rest of the zone follows suit.)

Back on topic. Anyone else get sort of a Celtic church vibe from the station? I have been out of the loop for a while so I don't know if this is actually what they were going for. If this is the case, I love that they aren't being overly politically correct and are embracing the mythology of Banshees.

The Banshee is part of Celtic folklore so...

I'd say the theming on Banshee might be close to these real Celtic churches and graveyards.

Is anyone else thinking this station might be pretty picturesque in a thunderstorm?

Photographers, take note.

I was worried that with the negative and frankly morbid connotation of the name Banshee they would ignore the story behind them. I figured it would be a cool logo and name but the general theming would be pretty generic. I am pleasantly surprised.

The more and more I see updates on Banshee's progress whether it be installing the chain, work on the station, etc. I can't wait for my first ride!

The ride looks great! I'd love to see the installation of the controls and the PLC!

I wonder if the trains got lost on their way here. :D They are running a little late.

They should be here any day now right?

It may be Saturday, but that doesn't stop construction crews at the Banshee site....

At the Batwing element.....

Don Helbig / Kings Island is presenting/speaking about Banshee today at ACE's Eastcoaster event in Allentown, PA. (Home of Dorney Park)

Kings Island and Dorney Park will be presenting together at the event.

That's the OTHER Allentown.

 Not Allentown, Pennsylvania? I'm confused a bit.

EDIT - Cleared up below

I stand corrected. My New Jersey friends told me this song is about their Allentown. It is not. I learned something today.

:) All is well. I do love that song, though!

EDIT - And speaking of sounds of metal being worked on, I wonder how the chain work is going down at the "Fairy Mounds?"

It's going to look great period, I am very hopeful of how this coaster will turn out photogenically.

It will.

I don't mean to be rash, but when I say very hopeful, I mean that I am very hopeful to see it in full fruition. On the flip side, I would much rather see from you to go into full detail than to just type two words of confirmation. Will the station be photogenic? Will the coaster and station be photogenic? Will the grass be photogenic?

Still on the topic, maybe I should elaborate on what I mean when I say this. I am hopeful to see the tombstones in sight while in plaza around the coaster, making it more photogenic than the latter. I am hopeful to see how much they put into the station, possibly making an in station shot more photogenic than the latter.

BB1, who goes in depth on his responses.

What in that post was satiric?

Lost Terp

It flowed better with a previous statement that I revised, sorry for the confusion.

Have they finished the pruning of the trees near the station yet? (is that enough words for you?)

Haven't been on in awhile glad to be back. Probably the wrong place to post this. Close enough.

I sadly didn't get to go to the backstage tour of the construction of Banshee... Tragic I know... But my Dad a week ago got too. Im not exactly sure how it worked out. Somehow he met this guy at work who was a temporary worker for KI, Im not sure. Anyways he's leaving at like the beginning of march and he's a college student. My dad was taking him back home (or something) and the guy offered to take him a tour of Banshee. (Notice how I said him and not with me too)

Edit: 1,000th post and corrected by the Terp.
