^ Same with me. Scooby's Ghoster Coaster was one of my favorite rides, one that I have very vived memories of riding. My brother and I really enjoyed it. I still remember walking into the new Nickelodeon Universe in 2006 and the immense disappointment of Scooby's Ghoster Coaster no longer being there. I actually refused to like and even ride Avatar (now Surf Dog) at first for the sole reason that it took the place of Scooby. And it was only a year after Italian Job took the Antique Cars, which was always a ride my family had to ride together every visit. On the bright side, I do enjoy Backlot Stunt Coaster and Surf Dog, but would absolutely love if their two predecessors could return. More so the Antique Cars than Scooby. Also, speaking of Scooby Doo, I enjoyed Boo Blasters much more when it was still Scooby Doo. I get depressed every time I ride it wishing Scooby Doo could still be there.

I agree, I feel like there are certain rides they shouldn't remove with the Antique Cars being on of them, but then things like Thunder Alley made sense to remove.

I've read that Scooby's Ghoster Coaster wasn't exactly friendly to half of our population.

As for my self, that is one coaster I have no knowledge due to its life span. Used to go to KI a couple times a summer as a kid, up thru high school, then about once a year in high school, then I hardly attended for many years until meeting my wife, a former employee who loves KI, then after the 1st child hit 3 we purchased season passes and have been regulars. The Ghoster Coaster was built and demolished somewhere between when I was a regular park attendee thru HS and when we had our first child, I'm sure it was in the park for a handful of visits, but Planet Snoopy wasn't a priority at that time. I'd love to see a POV video, the best I've seen are a couple of stills, but I have only a rough concept of the coaster. For someone that remembers The Deamon and The Bat, took many a spin on King Cobra and rode SOB both with the loop and without, its the one coaster in KI's lifetime that I have the least amount of knowledge about; none first hand, not much more second hand.

I only vaguely remember Scooby's Ghoster Coaster. I remember seeing it in action a few times just from passing by it, but it was installed right around the time my knowledge of that area in the park became quite hazy. I honestly can't say I know anything about Planet Snoopy's layout anymore, about what's new, what's gone, and what's still there. It's by no miracle that I still know where the ice cream stand, er, stands. I have those nostalgics trips for "Smurf ice cream" to thank for that. But ask me anything else about Planet Snoopy, anything recent, anything not pertaining to The Beastie, Phantom Theater, and blue ice cream, and my hands will be cluelessly in the air. I just assume that almost all of my favorite rides as a kid have are now scrapheap.

Depends on your child hood, but there are many rides in the area (some not easily noticed by the average family as they kind of hide behind Surf Dog) that have been in the park for a long time, some have even come over from Coney Island. According to Wiki, not always the best source, but easily accessabile, there are 12 current attractions that have been there since at least 1995 (which is about when the Ghoster Coaster was installed, give or take decade :) ) Though i don't believe all rides are currently in their original location and some have obviously changed names/themes thru time.

The good news, you can forget all or most of those childhood memories, but if your lucky enough to have kids and get to take them to KI one day, you'll get to form new memories that will not only be lasting, but will potentially challenge any experience you currently have one any ride currently installed (or about to be installed) at KI. I can honestly say, my first ride on Woodstock Express with my son tops any ride I've had on Diamondback and equals my memories of dropping into the tunnel alongside my mothe when it was called The Beastie many years ago.

In Action Zone? Or potential the "former Action Zone"?

I guess it depends on what you mean by kiddie rides.

Flight Deck was a 48" requirement, I assume that sticks as it evolves into The Bat.

Congo Falls is a 46" requirement.

Drop Zone is a 48" requirement.

Delerium is something higher, can't recall exactly, but I know our 5 year old couldn't get on it last season when he hit 48". Invertigo is the same story I believe.

Skyflyer is 48" I believe, but we never got him on that as we weren't willing to pay for the upcharge, though we promised him we'd take him on it "someday".

Adventure Express, while not in Action Zone, is just around the corner, 48" requirement.

If you're talking about kids smaller than that, then there really isn't anything for them there, other than the bridge on Congo Falls, which most kids seem to enjoy that I see waiting there for the splash down. What is kiddie friendly depends on your kids. My 5 year old was on drop zone, Flight Deck, Vortex, The Beast and pretty much everything he could do once he hit 48" last year, I'm guessing he's not the norm. Our 1 year old enjoyed sitting in her stroller at the base of Drop Zone and getting blasted with the burst of air that hits you when the ride drops back to earth. She also enjoyed the breaks she would get from the stroller and getting to walk around the old SOB que that runs right next to the Flight Deck que while mom and son rode Flight Deck, then we traded off so I could ride it with our son. I'm guessing that won't be quite as convinent this season as we never saw that part of Flight Deck's que backed up to that point, so we were easily out of anyone's way.

The Antique Cars were always a hoot; another way to relax and still be doing something. (closest replacement is Woodstock's Whirlybirds, except the nephew & nieces are too old to be an excuse to ride it now.) OOH! Must get Tanna to tell you the story of her cousin's work experience on the Antique Cars.
