Ok, im new to ohio, but just moved to Cincinnati for work. I am thinking of buying season passes on the easy payment plan option. My question is this, if I choose the payment plan option, instead of straight buy out, will I still be able to use it once this season for the Halloween season. The site says it can be used once during Halloween month, but it didn't say if it was just for straight buy out, or if you could do that while making payments on the payment plan

^^^^^^ During haunt last year, I purchased our passes online using the payment plan. We were able to use the free visits immediately. I would assume it's the same this year.

Do season passes only get us into the haunt once?

Existing 2013 passes, either unrenewed or renewed at the same level (Gold or Platinum), can be used unlimited times through the end of the season (but only once per day at the parking toll booths). Newly purchased 2014 passes can only be used once in 2013.

so my 2013 pass can get me into the haunt until the last day?

That is correct.

I think the free visit can only be used at the park it was processed at!

If you want her to get into Cedar Point for free this year, may I suggest that she just buys her Plat Pass at Cedar Point!

Getting my Gold pass today at the gate and using my included '13 admission this afternoon/evening.

Question is.....will I need to pay for parking today even though free parking is included with the Gold pass?

If you get it online you can show receipt/printout for free parking. If your getting them at the gate, no. Everyone would just say they're buying passes at the gate to avoid parking fees, lol.

This is my understanding anyway.

Edit: Getting ready to head that way ourselves, see ya there, maybe.

i was wanting to buy the passes (wife and I) at the gate to avoid the "processing fees" but if it would save on parking it may be worth it.

Starting to think the free parking is only for the '14 season .....I may have to give them a call to make sure.

I've paid for parking, bought my Gold Pass and showed them the parking receipt.....can't remember if they credited my card or reimbursed me...best to check with guest relations before you go....

Just called the park.....free Gold pass parking is good for the 2014 season only and not included with the one time '13 visit.

Just a FYI in case anybody has the same question.

Heading over now and hope to see some of you members today!

No it doesn't! Your 2013 pass whether it be Gold Or Platinum is good till the end of the season. Upgrading to a 2014 pass does not change your status of your 2013 pass!

Waaaaay back when CF took over it happened to me....it's hard to not remember being locked out for the season....I guess times change, I'm sure they have worked out the bugs, but hey, I don't want to take a chance of it happening to me again.....soooooo I wait until after season to buy....sometimes right up to the last second.

Guests that renew their 2013 season pass online or at the park are still able to enjoy unlimited visits through the end of the season on October 27. When you buy a Gold or Platinum pass, it clearly states valid for all public operating days during that season.

But what if you change pass levels? I have a 2013 Platinum Pass currently, but I want to downgrade to Gold for 2014 because my budget will not allow me to get to other parks next year. Will my 2013 Platinum Pass be deactivated when I process my 2014 Gold Pass, since only one pass can be assigned to each person?

I upgraded to Platinum from the Gold pass. I am assuming that my new Platinum pass will get me in to the park for the rest of the operating season.

That said, I am keeping my Gold pass in my wallet just in case. The girl behind the counter didn't seem too sure which pass would work.
