flightoffear1996
^ I think you're taking it to literally. I believe his post was from the viewpoint of actually seeing the actual tombstone marking your actual remains. LOL you got it.
upstop
I would be happy with a really cool queue line with lots of coaster visuals from different angles...perhaps something that wanders through a Celtic graveyard with ambient Celtic music playing. Maybe ivy or moss covered stone walls, The screams from the trains of people would be enough special effects for a Banshee scream.
thedevariouseffect
Is it somewhat morbid or offsetting seeing a tombstone meant for you, even if it's put together jokingly?
The Interpreter
Nah. I almost had use for a real tombstone in 1984. Escaping that makes every day a treasure to be enjoyed.
Joncars05
I would be fine with tombstones throughout a couple of the low passes, even though I don't think they are necessary. I would really like to see fog blanket the lower ground (during night rides) after going through the zero-g element. I still believe that is when the ride will really take off and the fog would give a feeling of flying into the "unknown." It will also give a great feeling of the ride being out of control.
Adventuro
I want them to plant pine trees. I want this to be a wooded ride experience. And pine trees make me think of... Well I'm not sure, but they would be a nice touch.
TTD-120-420
Lights like this: From Heide Park in Germany.
thedevariouseffect
Did anyone ever figure out if those are the normal lights and will be staying like that? The video I watched of it seemed almost like it was announcing the coaster or opening it, or something.
Creed Bratton
I think those were just there for the announcement.
TTD-120-420
They were their for the park's Halloween events, IIRC. I know it was longer than just the night of the announcement.
thegajone
I don't need any theming on the ride itself for me to have a blast. None, zilch, nada. (Though I would very much enjoy a tunnel or two) I would, however, LOVE a themed queue line that really gets you in the mood of the ride. As it has been stated, at 68 MPH, you won't notice a whole lot of theming. But a line that is immersive goes a long way in making the ride more enjoyable (and worth waiting for). Bingo. I personally couldn't care less about theming on the ride itself, but queue theming goes a long way for me. After all, the line is going to be hours long, it would be nice to have some cool theming as a distraction for at least a portion of that wait.
Gplez90
One thing i would really love to see on Banshee is a really cool entrance sign. The best entrance sign ive ever laid eyes on would have to be Leviathan with Gatekeeper closely following. I just love how Leviathans sign lit at night and blew smoke out of its nose. Also the fountain is a nice touch. I wouldnt mind Banshee's sign being somewhere along those lines. Creed Bratton
99.9% sure it's going to be like Gatekeeper's sign. Look at the renderings of the ride. While things could change, it looks like the style that Cedar Fair is sticking with.
Adventuro
That's good I thought Gatekeepers plaza was really unique. I'm hoping Banshee is just like that. Minus the cold June 3rd memory I have of riding it. Darn that freezing lake wind.
Creed Bratton
Well I'm sure Banshee won't have a freezing lake wind affecting the ride experience because if so, we've got bigger problems.

Minus the cold June 3rd memory I have of riding it. Darn that freezing lake wind. June 6 and 7 were probably not any better. I spent $40 on a Cedar Point jacket on June 6 because I had packed only t-shirts and shorts. The next day, I received a $40 Gatekeeper jacket in the same style for free at lunch. Oops.
Adventuro
Yes. It was way too cold.
shawnofthedead
If the Fog is going to cover the lower ground, wouldnt that also cover the queue line? If so i'm not too fond of being in line with people who feel like nobody can see them. Smoking, line cutting, acting more stupid, to name a few. Maybe im wrong.
Gplez90
Maybe some fog only in the back half of the ride Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GamesAndRides
If There was a Tunnel, I would love some fog in it. (Day and night) And during the summer, Mist During the day, And fog at night With Banshee screams.
TheCrypt
Mist is highly unlikely as it causes track to rust over time. This is one of the main reasons mist has been removed from rides like Adventure Express, Backlot Stunt Coaster, I believe Tomb Raider, and a few other attractions.
Gplez90
What about the water bomb on Maverick and the splashdown on Diamondback?^^ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
TheCrypt
I'm not sure. If I were to guess, I would say these track pieces are coated in better paint/better protecting agents than most other rides specifically for these elements. Adventure Express' track got so bad that the track actually had to be replaced (IIRC) in 1999. Backlot's track is also a testament to the effects of rain and water.
calakapepe
Couldn't they do mist if they planned ahead for it? Diamondback does pretty well being in contact with water all the time. And rain surely comes in contact with most coasters in the park without significant damage.

Thrill_Biscuit
About the only place along the ride that seems suitable for any kind of extra theming is where the rider just might have enough time to catch his/her breath after having just come out of a giant loop and then a high-arcing 360° roll to the right. A similar opportunity comes about 4 seconds later at the bottom of the pretzel-like element of the ride, but just what kind of theming could compare to the sheer thrill and pure gut squish of that element?
