BB1
Alright, as we begin to look at having an unofficial KIC Day 2014 meet up, we must first find an exact date for our meet up. Some things that we need to be reminded while making this choice: -Some have voiced that they cannot make it to a few dates, hence why we have multiple dates that you can select. -We will want to have it near the beginning or the end of the season to get less lines and more attendees to the event. -Pick the choice that fits you best, as your choice will play a weight in how we go on from here. Also please note, I'm not trying to dictate x or y, I'm simply trying to help, and facilitate the process and make for the best KIC (Un-official) Day 2014 Meet Up.
malem
There's already an event on June 8: Coasting for Kids. Many members from here are participating. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/28956-6th-annual-coasting-for-kids-sunday-june-8
BB1
^Hence why I put it up there. It is a date that people could decide as the best date to go and have an KIC Day 2014. Then again, people could go in a different direction and go for another date. It is all up to the people now
thedevariouseffect
I don't think it's perfectly wise to do it on the same day as Coasting for Kids. Let the park have it's moment and do it's event. I'm sure many of us will meet up and ride together, etc. not doubting that, but keep it to just that, just as a recommendation. Same as Media Day, let the park have it's event and do it's job but have fun along with them
stashua123
I think it would be wise to have this on two dates. So someone going during the weekdays can meet up and have short waits and on a weekend day so you can meet more people.

The main idea is to have one large meet up at the park, similar in numbers give or take a bunch as of last year's event.

I'd say it's likely that there will be a lot more than one this summer.

Hoeter
Keep in mind also The Coaster Crew is having an event on my birthday, July 7th and KIC members are welcome to attend!

( Still on the waiting list for that day off.)
VortexBFForever
I only know for sure that June 8 and 22 will not work for me, since I will be in the Carillon Park Concert Band and on those two dates we have concerts, both at 2 pm. I do not know about June 14 yet, nor any other day in June, July, or August, but if you know me I always prefer Sundays and usually weekdays. MysticsTimber
I honestly wouldn't care which month it is. Just as long as it's on a weekday. I work on weekends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LoraX
I am spontaneous. If it's a day we can make it we will. Sundays are the least ideal dates for us. However, we are planning on being there June 8. BB1 since you're heading this up does this mean you're participating?
faeriewench
June 8th and 14th I'm more than likely working since they are weekends, June 22nd I'll be flying out to San Antonio. Weekdays are usually easier for me though.
APE
I believe the 14th will meet you with large crowds should you choose that day. It's Western and Southerns picnic day as well as another company I believe.
malem
With meetups, people generally don't stick together in one large group. Getting everyone there on the same day might not be necessary, except for special events that everyone wants to attend. (Coasting for Kids, Coaster Crew event, ERT events, announcements, Closing Day, etc)
Oldiesmann
Mid-July would probably work best for me. June 8th wouldn't work at all as that would be my 4th day requested off in 3 weeks (I'm taking off the 30th and 31st for Kat's wedding and June 3rd so I can attend a baseball game with my dad and his brother whom I haven't seen in 10+ years). June 14th might work. Later in June might work as well, but I might possibly be requesting off the last day of Spirit Song (the 29th) to see Burlap to Cashmere, and the 30th is my birthday (though I'm almost always off on Mondays right now). BB1
Keep in mind also The Coaster Crew is having an event on my birthday, July 7th and KIC members are welcome to attend! I would not be so sure of that, per the member ID code at the registration page: http://events.coastercrew.net/bbbb/
Hoeter
Tim Holloran stated on Coaster Crew's Facebook page that the event is open to both Coaster Crew members and members of KIC. You can attend by being a member of KIC and not having a Coaster Crew membership, although having a membership is highly recommended.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk. BB1
Ah gotcha, so for one to sign up for this, would one put in the member user rather than member ID? As well, the base line 26 is all one would need, correct? (BB1 does not book his face by the way)
Hoeter
Let me reach out to Tim directly and see what he says real quick. Stand by...
Creed Bratton
No need, I'm a staff member, you just need to put KIC and your username on the "member id" line.

No need, I'm a staff member, you just need to put KIC and your username on the "member id" line. Sort of still not answering the money question, but thanks! I just talked to Timmy. Select the $26 option. If you have a Platinum or Gold Pass, obviously you get in for free. Otherwise, you'll need admission. I trust you have a pass. BB1
EDIT: nevermind I figured it out I needed to press the 26 dollar button. Thanks Andrew! I may be going if I can get some plans figured out, expect a full out yea or nea soon!
Hoeter
Yes, regardless if you have a pass or not, you are required to pay the $26 to participate in the event. The cost helps pay for such events, including food, drink, the labor that Kings Island needs for the event, and what have you. I'm still on the fence as to if I will be there. It's my birthday, and I am off that day, so probably a sporting chance at this point. My wallet will also be dropping early in the morning at the DMV. Happy Birthday to me from the State of Ohio!
