  • I think I figured it out. This was probably around 1985-86. I'm the short little guy in the front.

Odd. I always imagined your first inverted coaster experience would have been at Flip Flap Railway's media day. Oh, and mine was King Cobra.

Then again Little Miss RailRider's first big coaster outside of Florida was The Beast. That is pretty old school awesome right there.

I am shocked as well the number of us that experienced the Wabash Cannonball as our first inversion. What a great ride and awesome park. Still wish someone would open a Chaos clone. The wait always made me nervous with all the ticking clocks and such.

"Please board quickly....your time is running out."

I loved the clock/time running out theme. The line always made me nervous because of the ticking clocks. I am surprised more of these didn't pop up, then again I think this ride would have been more popular today with families being the key demographic and not thrill seekers.

Mine was Son of Beast. I was never tall enough for big coasters til the year it debuted, so it was my first big ride too. I have always been short....sigh

Vortex. I rode it for the first time when I was 10 or 11.

I was over 3o when it opened.

FoF in 2007 when I was six.

Man I feel old.
Feel better now?

Screaming Demon. It was a great little ride compared to today's coasters.

Men in Black at Universal Studios Orlando used it right when your boarding. I think the timer is set at 15 seconds...

My first upside down experience... King Cobra. What a ride. Looking back now, I am so glad I decided to ride it. Way back in '97.

My first upside down coaster was Corkscrew at Geauga Lake. My mom took me on that when I was about 8 or 9.(I don't really remember exactly how old I was at the time.)
