May 12, 201412 yr What was thew first roller coaster that you rode, that went upside down? Mine was Rock n Roll roller coaster at Hollywood Studios, Disney World.
May 12, 201412 yr Flight of Fear. It seems to be a popular choice since you don't really get the privilege of knowing what you're about to ride.
May 12, 201412 yr I used to be scared to ride coasters with inversions, but Volcano at KD was my first.
May 12, 201412 yr It was either Vortex or King Cobra. I want to say it was Vortex first and then King Cobra. It was so long ago, details like that tend to blur together. However, being young, I don't see myself riding a coaster with loops while standing up first, I'd be more likely to ride one sitting down before making the leap to a stand-up coaster. That makes the most sense.
May 12, 201412 yr Vortex, May of 2009. Though my first ride that went upside-down PERIOD was The Crypt, which I had ridden earlier that day.
May 12, 201412 yr Author I wish I could say SOB, I think I rode that ounce we came back from vacation.
May 12, 201412 yr The first Coaster I ever rode was also my first "upside down" Coaster. The Wabash Cannonball at the late, great, Opryland.
May 12, 201412 yr Mine would be Vortex in 1996 I believe, also The Outer Limits Flight of Fear in 1996 as well. I think I rode them back to back
May 12, 201412 yr Either Corkscrew or Super-Loop. I was too scared to ride Screamin' Demon when I was wee little. My cousin rode it with my dad though and then it was gone the next time we went back a year or two later.
May 12, 201412 yr Screamin Demon and I was terrified to go upside down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
May 12, 201412 yr ^^ same here...the launch backwards off the hill was the biggest thrill of all....YIKES!
May 12, 201412 yr Vortex on a fall evening during P&G Day. My first Beast night ride immediately followed. Boy was that an awesome night.
May 12, 201412 yr My first was Screamin' Demon. We went through the loop and on the opposite side, with my voice waivering I turned to my uncle sitting next to me and asked "We have to go through that again?!?" My uncle, with a big smile on his face said, "Yeah, backwards!"
May 12, 201412 yr Double Loop at Geauga Lake. It was also my first overall as well. The height restriction at the time was 42". Which then I had the awkward stat for a while that the only two coasters I had been on had inversions and had to wait till I was 48" to ride a coaster with out.
May 12, 201412 yr I was scared of them until Raptor opened. I figured that a brand new looping coaster would be the best place to start and it was amazing! Never looked back after that.
