lopan
My best guess-most likely waiting for parts
JTW
That's not a true statement. Anyone who truly knows the answer won't say it here.
BoddaH1994
It hasn't been closed all season. It's only been closed for about a month. They've been working on it. Either they are in fact waiting on parts, or it's a time-consuming repair. Hopefully it'll reopen soon.
Dr Zhark
Okay sorry but why did it stop
Magenta Lizard
Because it broke or needed maintenance. I agree that "waiting for parts" is the most likely reason it has been down as long as it has. For the first week or so of it being down, there were signs of active work being done, then it was put up on the wooden supports it has sat on for the rest of the time it has been down.
lopan
Which is why i said most likely and not some hearsay from fill in the blank employee :-) edited above to add "my best guess"
Dalefan
I'm not sure where HUSS is. If they are waiting on parts and the company is overseas, then it maybe awhile. But who knows why it's down.
PKIVortex
Huss is in Germany.
Browntggrr
Waiting for parts makes the most sense.
PKIVortex
And depending if they have the part in stock or if they have to specially make it. Look how long Delirium was down when it was waiting on parts.
Guest dtk1376
I get text message notifications whenever Kings Island PR posts a tweet for the purpose of "Tweet-Ups" and I had a lump go in my throat when I saw a tweet come across saying "A popular attraction is leaving the park a week from today". I clicked on the link and it was talking about the freaking noodle. I thought it was going to be SRR, thankfully it wasn't because I would of been very mad.
Magenta Lizard
I had the same reaction, only I thought FoF. I wasn't aware the noodle was "a popular attraction."
shark6495
Today I saw no less than 5 families in line to get photos with said noodle

XjoshhyX
I wouldn't think you'd prop up the cars that way for general maintenance to be honest. So agreeing with the bandwagon and saying parts are the answer. Seems like they may be keeping the cars up because of a part that may hold them up. Thrill_Biscuit
They've got the ride up on stacks of wood beams that look like giant "Jenga" blocks. It's literally "up on blocks!"
XjoshhyX
I would love to play Jenga with the ride!
Thrill_Biscuit
^ It'd be a lot easier than playing "Twister" with it.
RollerNut
It is a HUSS, thats what wrong with it. Someone needs to get a picture of it up blocks, I have rhe perfect meme for it.
homestar92
Just hope we don't end up seeing something like this. (Photo from Theme Park Review) If that happened, then HUSS fault would it be?
RollerNut
Kind of doubt it, Dollywood seem to be "poking the bear" on that one. To my memory, Timber Tower was still under warranty and Dollywood was trying to get a part that Huss claimed wasnt covered until the warranty. I dont believe the ride ever operated again. Also I doubt SR&R has any warranty left on any parts.
jbum123
If the entire thing is up on blocks, I would venture to guess its a decent sized hydraulic problem.
Guest dtk1376
Maybe someone pulled on a tree one too many times while riding the ride, I mean they do warn when riding that ride about 50 times to not pull on the trees, maybe there was more reasons than just wanting to not damage the trees.
Banshee Back VII
Not all season. I rode it in late April.

Outdoor Man
Delirium is a Huss ride... Remember how long it took to get a part for that a few years ago. SR&R isn't exactly a new ride, we'll see how long it takes to stroll down to the local Budapest Sears for a replacement part.
DontWantToWait42mar0
The name of the ride implies it has issues frequently. Too much shakin' and rattlin' with this ride.
Browntggrr
Pure speculation...... I wonder of a cast piece broke (cracked??) that is part of the whole lifting device that surrounds the center spindle. That would explain why the whole ride is lifted off the ground. A piece like that would not be on a shelf & would take a considerable amount of time to make.
