BeeastFarmer
I'd be fine with a clean fountain and returning I - Street to more international flavor with the music. Is it just me, or did the fountain of my youth have a more "flow" to it--like they would build up to a full plume and die back down again to a very small trickle? And Asian/Italian/American food at the Festhaus? Finally, for the love of amusement parks...please return the Coney Mall sign to the area formerly known as Coney Mall.
Thrill_Biscuit
Nothin' helps the ol' International Street LaRosa's go down like beautiful fountains and loud, sad-sounding, minor-chord heavy emo music blasting through the speakers. Yep! Our kids do not know Kings Island as it was; and likely, they never will.
The Interpreter
The pizza has changed at least as much as has the music.
BlondyRidesOn
I still see International Street as "international." LaRosa's sells Italian hoagies, aside from pizza, and Graeters has Gelato on it's menu, which fits well with the fact that it's located in an Italian building. Tiny things can go a long way.
Tr0y
Full blast fountains are no fun on a windy day, especially when one is trying to enjoy cardboard pizza.
BeeastFarmer
I'm ok with the food and merchandise on I Street. I'm even ok with the food choices in the Festhaus. I would like to see some German theming put back into the area formerly known as Octoberfest and different music on I-Street.
upstop
I'd rather see I Street with international shops and food. Right now it seems like a mall food court. I would love to see Tower Gardens converted into an Asian inspired water garden with bamboo fountains and Bonsai trees.
Thrill_Biscuit
^A mall food court, with an Abercrombie & Fitch soundtrack.
The Interpreter
...and a nearby Panda Express and a poor excuse for even Sbarro Pizza. Yep.
Thrill_Biscuit
Now there's a name I haven't heard since December 20, 2000! My last slice of Sbarro ever was at a nice little table next to a window that overlooked the Hudson River. To the best of my knowledge, that Sbarro doesn't exist anymore. Just a thought.
Oldschool75
Full blast fountains are no fun on a windy day, especially when one is trying to enjoy cardboard pizza. But on a hot windy day they are enjoyed
upstop
At this time of year, there should be red lights in the water and aimed at the fountains, and on each fountain pedestal, there should be flame pots that burst into flame in synch to halloweenish music.... or during each Blood Drums show in sync wih their performance.
benny1388
I've mentioned on these forums (maybe further back in this very thread?) that I'd like to see the fountains get a makeover. I'd love to see something Bellagio-esque happen where every 15 (or whatever) minutes the park-wide music on I-Street gets muted and the fountains/lights choreographed to special music (handful of 'shows' on rotation or just random). If the crowds in front of the Bellagio are any indication, it serves as an attraction unto itself. I could see making it a point to catch one show per visit, maybe even trying to catch it from different viewing spots. Then again, maybe I just want a taste of Vegas without it costing me what Vegas usually costs me...
upstop
Excellent idea! I love the dancing waters and air pressure pops of water to music! At EPCOT during Christmas, the plaza water show set to Christmas music is wonderful!
vortexfan
Wonderland does that 3 or 4 times a day with their upgraded fountains. Snoopy stands at the front of the fountain pool, dressed as an orchestra conductor, and "conducts" the fountains to music.
