My friend sent me some pictures of a crane doing work on Diamondback. Diamondback is also not operating today.

What could be wrong?

What's wrong? Probably nothing.

The park has been closed this week. Whatever maintenance work they were doing there is evidently not done yet.

Well the logical answer is they are removing the ride! Also had to get rid of Shake Rattle and Roll because it is affected by Vortex's sinking... Now don't even get me started on the Arcade in the Coney Mall area!

Maybe a fresh coat of paint. Atleast I hope so.

Ah, yes - the return of Winterfest!

The ride is down and the trains are house away. I imagine it'll be closed the rest of the day. Fingers crossed for it opening later this weekend.

No not trim breaks, they make the ride less enjoyable

They took down the crane and reopened it at about 700.

You know, Winterfest always made me sad. The wonderful summer park seemed so barren.

Sort of off topic here, but I had a thought. What if KI added some kind of rattle to the back of the Diamondback trains. You probably couldn't hear it much except for when the train was crawling, but I think it would be a cool touch. It is a rattle snake after all!

Give it a few more years and you'll start to hear brain/marbles rattles!

They definitely could have done a lot more with the Diamondback theming.

It's not there for a reason amd it serves no purpose. It's there because it's just there. There isn't anything wrong and it doesn't hurt anything. It's a product of the train design.
