King Ding Dong Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 So what happens if you blew all your money trying to win the giant Pikachu and are now flat broke? Does the meter keep running until your next payday? Guest Services impound your stuff? Your ass get tossed in Frontier Jail? Make you wash dishes? Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 At the end of the day, the lockers are cleared. If the stuff is not redeemed, I'd presume it is either itself given to charity or auctioned and the proceeds given to charity. In some states and localities, unclaimed personalty goes to the respective government. See also unclaimed baggage at airports. 1 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Still doesn't answer what happens to your stuff if you claim it but can't pay the bill. (As you climb into your 40k SUV and drive off the causeway). Quote
malem Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Cleared items go to Lost & Found. There is no fee* to claim your own property from there, regardless of whether it was found in an expired locker. *There is a fee for shipping & processing if you use the vendor-supplied lost & found web service (ChargerBack®). 1 Quote
benny1388 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Made it to the point yesterday, posted our experience in the trip report section: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/32330-cedar-point-814/ Only mentioning it here because I'd ask for and gotten some info before the trip in this thread. 1 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Related question on the timed lockers: What happens if you pay cash for the locker, your locker expires, and you can't extend it because all of your cash is inside the locker? (Assume you decided to make a tour of the water rides and didn't want your wallet getting wet, but it took longer than you thought it would.) In this situation, is it possible for an attendant or supervisor to open the locker so you can get the cash out to pay off the overtime rental, or are you doomed to not having access to any of your stuff until park closing? Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 ^ I do not believe the kiosks accept cash; 99% sure about that. I have not used them in the park but did once in SC when I brought my phone with me becuase I had some business I needed to attend to. Quote
jcgoble3 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 If true, then that is new for 2016, as I have used cash at the locker kiosks in previous seasons. 1 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Notice how I gave myself that 1% becuase I have never tried. I just don't recall any slot for currency on the ones at CP SC. Most bills would be wet anyway. I am sure you can get a supervisor to help you if you had a problem like you describe. I imagine people forget their code, software bugs, mechanical malfunctions etc occurs frequently. 1 Quote
dragsterguy21 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I used cash for the lockets at CP like two weeks ago. There are too many teenagers to go credit only. 2 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 ^ That makes sense. As much as I hate using cash, currency readers and card readers can both be equally flakey. Quote

Banshee Media Day. I used my debit card to pay for a locker. Paid for only 2 hours and went back to my locker after that time had expired. A supervisor had to open the locker so I could get my card and extend the rental. I believe it may still be the same process- not 100% sure though. 3 Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Nice Bonus at CP:. Crowded as heck up here so I opted for FLP. They asked for a pass and I got $20 off the price listed. Nice job, CP! Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk 5 Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 To note: In my wanderings around Cedar Point for 1.5 days this trip and 2 days earlier this year: I did not see any cedar trees! I saw some arborvitae, but no actual cedar trees. 6 Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 So, you ever see any Kings or an Island in Mason? 6 Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 One word post? TOS? Terp, helpin' EDIT: He did. 4 Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 So, you ever see any Kings or an Island in Mason? No, I have never spotted a King in Mason, but I do see Royalty every time I visit. An Island? Not in the traditional sense of the word. 1 Quote

I saw some arborvitae, but no actual cedar trees. Cedar Point received its name a good bit before the park came in to the picture. At one point the peninsula (which is in the shape of a point) was covered in cedar trees. Even though that is no longer the case it still carries the name. That being said it would be nice to see them plant a large cedar somewhere in the park and surround it with flowers and a fence. Sent from Me using Tapatalk 7 Quote
Elizabeth19 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Is Raptor closing for good after this season? My sister told me that last weekend there was a sign saying it would be closed after the summer and won't reopen? I just don't believe that cause they would've posted something on social media Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 ^ I think your sister got her brains a little rattled on Mean Streak. 7 Quote
Elizabeth19 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Well, I didn't really know how to word it but. A women she nannies for is from Ohio and she went to Cedar Point last weekend and there was a sign at the entrance of Raptor saying it would be closed for the summer possibly the rest of the year. Lol I was just putting what I was told by my sister who was told by someone else Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 The plot thickens. Not that Raptor is some huge enthusiast favorite but if it were closing for the season there would be 20 pages or more of speculation on every enthusiast site. Someone in that communication chain misunderstood the sign or confused the name with Mean Streak. 2 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I was at Cedar Point on Saturday. Raptor was running like usual then, at least. Side note: there are some cool angles to look at Raptor from inside Chickie's and Pete's. 5 Quote
Elizabeth19 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Okay. That's good! And no offense but this lady lives in Charlotte NC and she just has my sister babysit her kids a lot. Lol Quote

"We'll string it out for a while," said McClure. "We like that people are curious." He added, "The only thing I can tell you right now is that we won't disappoint you with what we do back there." That's nice. He has something for everyone planned back there. No one will be disappointed. 1 Quote
PhantomTheater Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 https://www.cedarpoint.com/things-to-do/the-great-pumpkin-fest This year the kids activities during halloweekends will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." The main highlight is a brand new parade! 3 Quote
cp2013 Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 I personally can't wait to see what is up with Mean Streak, the last time I rode I came off with some sore arms (considering I was holding on for dear life as I didn't want to be split in half from the ride). personally if it is a RMC (hybrid) I think you'll see something new and off kilter, if its a GCI or any other woodie manufacturer your going to get a huge "super" twister airtime mixed ride, BUT if it's this way they WILL need to break a huge record of some sort, what I have no clue. my last idea is there is a T-rex track coming to the point and there will be a huge woodie going in the StR spot (most likely 2020). just my ideas. Oldschool75 Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Well I'll be going up to CP tomorrow to get my first and also final ride on MS. Just glad I had the opportunity come up to make this trip possible. Sent from my iOS 10 device 4 Quote
malem Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 On my recent visit, the trims were off (resulting in a smoother ride) on the first cycle of the day. It might be worth getting there when the ride opens (11am) to try to catch a similarly untrimmed ride. 1 Quote
