darkrider68
They wouldn't let us wait for the front last Sunday. So my only time was in the back. Can't wait to try the front. Going back up this Wednesday.
freaks76
^ front left seat for me. Yea, it was even better than I thought it would be. Man is it cold and dreary here. Quite a few of the coasters are down cause of the weather. Time to enjoy some Chickie & Pete's famous fries.
electricsun
I've been on Griffon and Sheikra and enjoyed all three rows. Each row gives you a slightly differently experience. I love the thrill of the front row and staring straight down and waiting for the release and drop. However, I found that my nieces preferred the other two rows as it wasn't as terrifying for them. I'm excited to experience Valravn and see how it compares.
freaks76
I will say one thing. Chickie & Pete's is packed. Hands down this is the best service I've had at a park in a long time. I am one VERY satisfied customer.
malem
How are operations tonight with respect to the wind? Trying to make a decision about whether to go tomorrow or hold off again.
freaks76
The only coaster I see running is Wicked Twister. All the others at the front of the park is down. Makin our way to the back now.
freaks76
Millinium and Rougarou is running. I'll post the others as I get to them.

freaks76
Nah, said it was down for an extended time. Millennium, Rougarou, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, Valravn. Everything else is down. Most of the flats seem to be open. Supposed to be less windy tommorrow. And not rain. High of 53. According to The Weather Channel. And you know weathermen and women never are wrong.
malem
I'll make a decision when I get up in the morning, but as of now, it looks like Wednesday for me. The wind forecast is still dangerously close to tolerances for major rides.
thekidd33
Despite what appears to be snow on the CP webcams, Valravn's line is spilling out of the queue. It looks like they have quite the hit on their hands.
The Interpreter
It's 44° there with a windchill of 41°!
malem
Notwithstanding the forecast, it's more windy now than it was yesterday. Apparently, the only coaster open is Wicked Twister. Winds might decrease somewhat this afternoon, so hang in there! For any KIC people braving today, I'd be curious to know how windy it is at 200' or 300'. Some ride crews will tell you.
Creed Bratton
Hoeter and I are headed home. We had a blast today and did several things. Coasters were down temporarily this morning but several opened without issue soon after winds died down. There were hardly any rides with extended downtime. Maverick was one that didn't go into operation our time at the park. Not as windy today as it was yesterday. Warmer too! Forecasts aren't always going to be right, they can help you plan for sure. We did more than we thought we would yesterday and today, it even snowed on us today. Great time was had by us. malem
Glad that rides opened & you had a good time! Coaster riding in the snow on Sunday, outdoor waterslides open the following Saturday. Only in Ohio.
aandjgoods
On Friday the lines where about 30 minutes for each of the big coasters like Rougarou, Maverick, TTD, and MF but during night ERT every ride that was open was a walk on. The only exception was Valravn which was only an 8 minute wait.
silver2005
This entire page is pretty much a testament to why I wait until June at the earliest to make a trip to Sandusky.
The Interpreter
An empty day at Cedar Point when the rides nearly all operate is a glorious thing. You MIGHT get one in May. From mid-June to mid-August, there is very little chance of that.
freaks76
What a long weekend it did end up being. I was gonna post some updates like i did yesterday, but I ended up not taking my phone into the park.(I usually don't.) The highlight of my day was I got to witness Maverick roll back and valley out of the last inversion going into tunnel launch. Nothing like about 50 people ugg'n at once. All in all a pretty good weekend, Even though I did get beat half to death by sleet on Gatekeeper.
Hoeter
The longest me and Chris waited this weekend for any ride at the park was 40 minutes, which was for Maverick.
PhantomTheater
http://www.cleveland.com/travel/index.ssf/2016/05/testing_out_cedar_points_new_w.html Cedar Point has enacted a tiered system of parking, with a higher rate on busy days Something new that is buried at the end of this article.
Hoeter
I noticed coming into the park Saturday via the Causeway that regular parking was $18. Yesterday, I decided to enter the park coming down Cedar Point Rd. Parking was $15
freaks76
Sounds about right. I didn't pay no attention to it. Flashed my pass and went. Same thing they with the Fast Lane Plus. $105 Saturday, but down to $93 Sunday. Which is still crazy. I didn't even have $93 bucks in the whole trip.
Kenban
That is just strange to me. I would expect Fast Lane and admission to vary based on estimated attendance. But it feels weird to me that the price of parking would change. I do not know of another park which modifies the price of parking like that. malem
Readers of the decoding thread may be interested to know that Maverick has been operating, albeit sporadically, today. It didn't open until around noon. It's currently down so the crew cam retrieve a guest's loose article(!).
