I wouldn't think that KI would be setting up for Haunt this early.  Usually they wait until September.  I know when I went to the GE and P&G (had family members in both companies) buyouts that they had the props at the ready to set up.

As I understand it, Haunt preparations begin soon after the regular season begins. In my Cedar Fair era visits (2012-), props have started becoming visible in August.

Some setup has begun. but something as simple as lights, would be done closer towards Haunt, and most is done starting 1st week of non daily operation. It could be something; maybe not. Could be something with the Kicks Cancer promotion. Either way, I don't think there will be anything big, otherwise the media usually would get some kind of invite.

Enthusiasts need to come up with a re-wording of Andy Williams' It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year' for when announcements come (and for the start of theme park season as well).

Can't wait!

I wish they would of included where they are doing the announcement... hopefully it's not just a Twitter announcement, especially if it's "major" news.

If this were Cedar Point the major announcement would just be that there will be an announcement.

Notice the camera angle. Hmmmmmmmm.

What is that building behind Racer toward the front of the pic? Not speculating anything will go in it, just wondering.

Edit: If it turns out to be a Screamin Swing I'll be moving to Mason the first chance I get.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this announcement thanks to that camera angle.

Since WindSeeker, The Racer, and Action Theater are all in the middle, and since WindSeeker is probably not going anywhere since it's had no major problems so far, I'm kinda worried they're doing something to The Racer. However, I think they may be doing something with Action Theater and maybe DA. X-Base expansion with bathrooms? :D

Please let me dream.

Edit: Even Vortex is close enough to be included in this.

Sounds like it could be a new ride, or rides, then.

In 2009, we got Diamondback.

In 2010, we got Planet Snoopy.

In 2011, we got WindSeeker.

In 2014, we got Banshee.

In 2015, we got two new rides in Planet Snoopy.

Tomorrow we'll find out what 2016 will bring.

I am also hearing rumblings that two things that have been at the park since 1972 that virtually everybody has experienced will be removed to make way for something new.

NO. STOP THAT. PLEASE!

I can't think of one thing that has been around since 1972 that I would want removed...
