KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Families can glide, fly and launch into 2016 at Worlds of Fun with the addition of five new family rides coming to Planet Snoopy next season: 
 

• Woodstock Gliders - Young guests control their own flight with movable stationary wings.
• Flying Ace - Get your aviator glasses ready for a high-flying adventure with Snoopy
• Snoopy Space Buggies - Defy gravity and bounce to the moon and back
• Linus Launcher - Experience the sensation of weightlessness through flight with feet dangling
• Snoopy Junction - All aboard! Snoopy the conductor leads kids on a railroad adventure

“Thrills come in all sizes,” says vice president and general manager Frank Wilburn. “It’s important that we continue to create the best family environment for our guests and what better place to do that than right here at Planet Snoopy where we create memories that last a lifetime.”

Planet Snoopy was added to Worlds of Fun in 2011 and will now feature 21 family style rides at Kansas City’s favorite amusement park. Little ones can take a trip on monster trucks, take to the skies on a forty-foot balloon ride, or hop in a new spinning tug-boat for the whole family. Sing and dance with Peanuts Party in the Park, a show with a special musical appearance by Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang live in Planet Snoopy Plaza!

I have ridden Flying Ace at Kings Dominion and I found it pretty fun for a kiddie ride

I'm eager to find out how Woodstock Gliders can have "movable stationary" wings.

I imagine somebody just confused "rigid" with "stationary".

This is greatly surprising to me, as I honestly thought WoF would be one of the parks receiving a new coaster for their 2016 Cap Expend, considering their last roller coaster installation was Prowler in 2009.  Im not saying this in a negative way, simply in an observatory way.

This still sounds like a great addition regardless.. maybe they can get a nice thrill flat next year or a coaster next year.

I'm not familiar with that park, but it sounds like a great addition for 2016 - something for families and youngsters alike. It'll be interesting to see what kind of coaster they get for Flying Ace.

I completely agree, and I definitely dont have a problem with the decision, due to the fact that expanded Planet Snoopy=more money spending Parents bringing Their children=higher per caps=better looking attendance and financial figures for the park=better chance for an amazing installation with their available CapEx in 2017-2018.  I am a big, big WoF fan, growing up in Des Moines, Iowa made me a very regular visitor to the park.

...and Adventureland and Arnold's Park, I presume?

Honestly, I never have been to Arnold's, but its on the list, along with Adventureland, for next late spring when we go to visit my Mother before we move.  When I was a child, I Loved Adventureland but was deathly afraid of roller coasters, with the exception of Der Flitzer.  By the time I was a teen and had Friends with vehicles, we were more apt to drive to WoF for the larger thrill rides.  However, I most definitely have a deeper appreciation for Adventureland these days, and THOROUGHLY enjoyed it in June of 2013 (with the exception of that atrocious Underground and the fact the Tilt-A-Whirl was down for maintenance).

I'm not familiar with that park, but It'll be interesting to see what kind of coaster they get for Flying Ace.
