Existential
I like the good ol' days when companies could just do things without that 'pesky' public being able to access information freely.
kingsislandfan1972
I've lived in Michigan my whole life and not once have I went to Michigan's Adventures, maybe one day I'll check it out.
RollerNut
I am confused, do all amusement parks do have water treatment system? Is this drinking water, water for rides or just water for the lake? Does the park buy water from a water company, county or city?
The Interpreter
This is sewage, not drinking water. The park had its own system before the public lines were run. The locals want to force the park to hook in and help pay. And situations differ from place to place.
Oldiesmann
Why is the county so intent on forcing them to hook in? The current system seems to be working fine, and it's got to be easier to get a permit to increase output than to spend $600k for something that gives them no real benefit...
The Interpreter
The county system needs ratepayers to help them pay for it. Also, the county system, theoretically, is more apt to be run in compliance with standards than is a landowner owned system.
Leland Wykoff
The Townships desire to impose excessive cost structure of sewage treatment plant upon Michigan's Adventure. Privately run sewer treatment systems often exceed the clean water standards of the corresponding public systems. This is nothing more than an attempt to impose a tax upon Michigan's Adventure in support of political patronage jobs. Look under the hood of the public sewer system and one is likely to find excessive employee counts and overcompensation provided to those with political connections. Here in the South we refer to it as the CBEP. Cousin-Brother Employment Project.
The Interpreter
Is that like the FUN CEO Son employment project that was conducted at Carowinds? Terp, who likes to ask questions.
Tr0y
Cedar Fair should just relocate Shockwave from Kings Dominion to Michigan's Adventure and call it a day.
