Hoeter Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Whatever it is, I'm sure people will complain that Kings Island didn't get something else. I heard numerous people complaining at Banshee's announcement that we weren't getting a wing coaster or a giga coaster instead. Be thankful they are investing tens of millions of dollars in new attractions into the park. If you want to ride a wing coaster or a giga coaster that bad before Kings Island gets one, Sandusky is only 200 miles north. 18 Quote
Logan Goddard Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Or if you want a better wing coaster and 3 great woodies you can drive 195 miles west to Holiday World. As for the snapchat it could be a hint toward B&M or it is could be talking about airtime. We should be seeing some more construction in the area soon, figuratively we have a month or so until we find out what the coaster is made out of, if it is a coaster. 5 Quote
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Anyone else see this? Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk This is the view you would see from roughly the location of the new entrance for WWC, right?Edit: On second thought, this is up closer to where the old entrance was. Perhaps from the empty spot where the Funnel Cake building was? 3 Quote
aandjgoods Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I feel you are more accurate about it being taken from the new WWC entrance, possibly a little bit in front of the train track. 4 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Nope. If that picture was at the old White Water Canyon entrance or at the old funnel cake building, there would be way too many trees in the way to see Diamondback from that angle. (Plus, Don's smartphone camera would need better zoom capability than many regular cameras.) That appears to be taken from the train. If it was taken from the new White Water Canyon entrance (namely, the area that they have yet to pour concrete for), then you would likely see train tracks in that photo, which you do not. On a related note, there appears to be a cleared line of trees not related to the former WWC queue that has been cleared just behind the treeline directly across the tracks from the Rivertown train station. In the case of a new coaster, it could be neat to see one fly by the Rivertown train station just behind the trees, make some fancy turn where the Crypt building is now, and then make use of the valley that Diamondback is built into. 4 Quote
sixohdieselrage Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Where is that from? (The photo) Snapchat?Yes. Another SnapChat. Sent from an Indestructible Phone 1 Quote
Engineering Coasters Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 About that view, I think it could potentially mean that the new ride interacts with Diamondback's airtime hill, for example swoop underneath. Maybe the first easily visible footers will appear there. 7 Quote

Engineering Coasters Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Thanks haha. I've been reading the forums for awhile, but I haven't really had much different to add to the conversation until now. 5 Quote
Jdm_4ever Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Possible key hole reference? I've wondered what this photo could mean seems like a good guess to me. Is the old photo booth still by the crypt? I think it was a photo booth?? Quote

Delirium13 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I don't even think it's a red herring. I think it's just a picture of Diamondback. Next we'll be speculating that a picture of pizza from Rivertown Larosa's is a hint that we're getting a new Italian themed section of the park, home to Pepperoni: The Ride. 18 Quote

Now you're reminding me of that moment three years ago when someone commented that a picture of an apple would be taken as a clue, and an hour later, Don tweeted... a picture of an apple. If you guys cause him to do that again, I might die of laughter. (By the way, if you want to relive the apple incident, or weren't around for it, links are in the first post of this thread. ) 14 Quote
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Pepperoni under the cheese is superior. LaRosa's does it right, unlike that Papa John's crap. 3 Quote

DiamondBanshee Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 So I was told that the Instagram page of KI was deleting comments about a giga coaster on one of their pictures, so naturally I was curious as to if it was true or not. I posted this: I waited and was told it got deleted. I went to check and found this: Why would this be happening? I have heard that mine was the 7th post alluding to a giga that was deleted. *Disclaimer* I did not delete my own comment and nothing inappropriate was put warranting this deletion, as you can see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6 Quote
sixohdieselrage Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 They didn't delete mine... It's a different picture than the one you posted in though. Sent from an Indestructible Phone 1 Quote
sixohdieselrage Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Let's see if they delete this one, which is on the same picture. Also the same exact comment. Sent from an Indestructible Phone 3 Quote

malem Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Why would this be happening? Likely an attempt to moderate the comment firehose. The moderator probably doesn't see a repeated 2017 guess as adding to the conversation about the posted image. 5 Quote
