King Ding Dong Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Someone at CF sure likes "Timbers". https://www.canadaswonderland.com/what-s-new/new-for-2017-soaring-timbers-muskoka-plunge http://youtu.be/EEyUKzGF_-Q http://mondialrides.com/rides/transportable/inferno Questions: Is this new or used? From the picture it looks covered in planks, so are they retheming it? What is the Protein Spill per hour rate on this this thing? I am not a flat person but this does look fun. A Niagra/CW trip next summer just moved a little higher on the priority list. From this video of the inverted version it looks like the ride experience can be changed up a bit by the op or programming. http://youtu.be/D_VLBRJdY4g 4 Quote
rcwizard13 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Dang, what's with Canada getting all the cool and unique flat rides. First Skyhawk, now this. 11 Quote
Imperial79 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Man they are really impressing me with their flat rides they have. 8 Quote
CoastersRZ Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Having been to Canada`s Wonderland, they do have a very impressive collections of flat rides. Â I wish Kings Island would get some new flat rides in the coming years. Â There are several spots that could really benefit from some flat rides at KI to help round out the collection. Â Â I am not a huge fan of the name though. 12 Quote

Honorarius Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Don't like the names chosen for the flat or the new slides... Â Although both should be fun, and the slides are sorely needed in Splash Works... An additional change room would be great too, the existing ones are too small... Â Also, hoping they don't put it anywhere near Leviathan... That part of the park is a madhouse... 1 Quote
MDMC01 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Soaring Timbers looks cool. I agree, Canada's Wonderland does have a unique collection of flats, and I love how Cedar Fair finds the uniqueness in each park (Knott's history, KI's nostalgia/filling in coaster gaps, Canada's collection of flats, Cedar Point's coaster collection, etc.) and makes it better. 1 Quote
CP Maverick Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Timbers is the new hawk... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I wonder who is in charge of the naming.... 1 Quote

ethancoaster Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 So, is Cedar Fair not building an interactive/digital experience next year? I thought either Kings Dominion or Wonderland would get one for sure, but they've already announced their 2017 additions. Unless the "There's Really More Coming" at the end of KD's announcement is actually hinting towards a second announcement (I don't think it is), I don't see one coming next year. Soaring Timbers looks great. I would have named it "Flying Timbers," but the name they chose isn't..... terrible... Quote
upstop Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Here is an on ride version.... Puke.... 4 Quote
Rivertown Rider Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 This ride looks it should be sponsored by Lysol for all of the "spills" that it is going to cause. 6 Quote
