goettablitz
I made my first trip to Kennywood this past summer and absolutely fell in love with the park. It has old rides that simply don't exist anywhere else anymore as well as some modern day rides. Phantom's Revenge went right into my top 10 list. I did not go into the kids area but the Thomas Town seems like a smart move. Didn't some Six Flags parks already use and abandon this IP years ago though? I have seen on Facebook that it appears some of the locals are not too happy with Kennywood redoing some of the classic areas of the park.
malem
^ Some Six Flags parks did use the Thomas the Tank Engine theme; it was part of their IP overload last decade. They ended up getting rid of most of it except for Looney Tunes (& other Time Warner properties). Kennywood traditionally hasn't used much licensed IP, but I think Thomas will fit in nicely if they do it right. They just need to get rid of Garfield.

What if Hannah Barbera came back to a park?

PhantomTheater
Garfield can stay, he just needs to vacate The Old Mill. 2
Oldschool75
What if Hannah Barbera came back to a park? Six Flags Great America has some Hanna Barbera. Spacely Sprockets and a couple other.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

silver2005
From Facebook posts, I'm actually seeing a bit of backlash from this. A lot of fans expect Kennywood to stray away from any sort of branding it seems. Its been fairly split but polarizing reactions.
Creed Bratton
I think more of the "displeasure" that is coming from it, is that the areas being utilized for this are more historic than the other areas.
